Thank you so much for being here today. I know we're gonna have so much fun together. Let the magic begin welcome to another episode of Divine Health Podcast. I am very excited and grateful that you're here. Today, we're talking about something that I find really fascinating. We're talking about soul contracts and what that means and how it can benefit you to start to think about or ponder upon your own soul contract. And really, I love this podcast 'cause we talk about personal growth and development, and a lot of it's through spirituality and energy work and aligning things. And I think when you can understand the concept of soul contracts, it can help you see your growth from a different vantage point, which can be very empowering and liberating. And that's the whole idea of why I decided to write this episode. I actually wrote it when I was at the rink watching my son play. And I was thinking about topics for the podcast on things that I wanted to share that I fully believe in, and I've been, talking in person with people about it, but I've never felt confident to share it on the podcast. And this is a topic that I was like, "Oh, yeah, I firmly believe in this," and I've always wanted to share upon it or about it, and how it came into my life really randomly and shifted my perspective on things, and how I use that to my advantage, and I wanna share this with all of you guys. So I first heard about this in a book, and I'll share how that came into being. But let's talk about what soul contracts are. And before we do, I just wanna say, use your discernment, take what resonates with you. Leave the rest. I'm not sharing this to change your belief system or to convince anybody of everything. I'm just sharing this is my vantage point, this is my belief system, and this is what really helps me, so you know I'm going to share that with all of you. So a soul contract basically is just a spiritual belief that before you're born, so before every single person is born, each soul agrees to certain experiences. So these experiences can be tied to relationships, lessons, challenges, or different things that we plan that we're going to encounter during a lifetime. And I think it's really important that we know we have free will and choice, so the way that these things come through can come through quite differently. It's not saying that we sign up for our entire life to be planned out and we have no free will and choice. That's not at all what I'm saying. I'm saying we come in and say, "Hey, in this past life I learned this, and in this life I wanna come in and learn this", and then we incarnate and we forget everything. And then that's the process of being here on Earth school, is we re-remember who we are through these contracts, through these agreements, through contrast, through the scenarios and lessons that we navigate through in life, and we return to ourself from these experiences, or we gain this knowledge and wisdom throughout these experiences. And I think that's really beautiful, and the concept is that you as a soul Even sign up for who are your parents, who are your partner, who's helping you on your mission and then when people come through. And this is really fascinating for me because I first heard about this in a book that a friend gave me completely out of left field. Like she was just like, "I just have a book that I think that you're gonna like." And I read it just the same way when I read Caroline Myss, her book, Anatomy of the Spirit, which I talk about all the time on this podcast. It blew my mind. It blew my concept of health and everything to the point where I was like, "Okay, I wanna learn more."
PamelaAnd that has massively shifted the work that I do. This book opened me up to the idea of it's not just random, that we actually do sign up for things.
The book is called The Soul's Plan by Robert Schwartz
PamelaIt talks about discovering the real meaning of life you planned before you were born. And the essence or central idea of this book is, again, that your soul plans many of the major challenges in your life before you are born in order to learn spiritual lessons and evolve and grow as a soul. These challenges can include illness, disabilities, addiction, accidents, loss of loved ones. The sky's the limit on what can come through. And this book suggests that what looks like suffering from a human perspective, like in our human self, not our soul self, it may actually be a part of a deeper soul lesson or plan designed for personal growth, healing, and compassion. And I think that's the part that is really beautiful when we can look at the things that we're suffering with in life or that have been really hard for us, and sometimes it's hard to think like who would sign up for that. Like I, I understand that But we can say, "What did I learn and grow from this experience? What did I learn about myself? What kind of resilience? What kind of compassion?" And there's this saying, and I love this, is that a lot of times when people pray to God, source, universe, or angels, whatever, they're like, "Pray for patience." God doesn't give them patience, or source, universe, you use your word. He gives you scenarios that teach you how to have patience. So you get the opposite so that you can understand what patience looks like. And I think that's really interesting when we think about these soul contracts. If you wanna learn compassion, you're not coming in as a Mother Teresa, like a really compassionate soul. If you're coming in to learn that you're gonna have these challenging or scenarios where you develop the skill of compassion. And yes, some people are born with compassion and empathy, but I'm saying if that's your soul contract you typically learn through contrast, and then you gain that wisdom. In this book, the author talks about real-life stories of 10 people, which each has a different scenario, and they all faced major life difficulties. And he works with a spiritual medium who has a conversation with these souls and investigates their pre-birth plan, which I was like, "Okay, this is super fascinating." And the book describes these conversations with how and why these people planned their soul contracts before they reincarnated. And this is really when I was like, wow, like I... Because the psychic medium had conversations with each of these souls, and I read this like a really long time ago, like I wanna say Like 16 something, yeah, maybe even before that. So it's a while ago. But one that really stood out to me, and I'll just quickly share so you can understand, is that there was a family of four, a mom, a husband, and two boys, and they had a barbecue. They had all their friends over. It was a beautiful day, and they're having a pool party with this barbecue, and the dad goes to do a jump in the pool, from what I can remember, and he hits his head, and he ends up becoming paralyzed. And in that scenario, it's very challenging for him, it's challenging for the kids, it's challenging for the wife because it's something unexpected and really hard happened. But the father became like a motivational speaker for how to overcome adversity, overcome accidents, and he wanted to be a role model for his kids. So that was his sole contract, to evolve from not thinking like, "Why me? Why did this happen?" He was an inspirational speaker on this, and really motivated and showed the boys that it doesn't matter what happens in life, you can handle things. And they showed that before The soul incarnated, like the mom, he picked the mom, and it was supposed to happen in childhood, and the mom's "No, I can't handle that in childhood. That has to happen later in life." So there's all these like negotiations happening, and the wife who signed on with this partner, her sole mission was to come in and learn compassion, and she learned compassion in this scenario because it was really challenging for her in a sense of like she used to have a husband that could do XYZ, and then all of a sudden he can't do those things, and she's carrying more of the load. And, how do you do that and navigate that with grace and compassion? So it's just a really interesting story of how they all grew and evolved from this soul contract thing where when you think of it in a human form, you think, "Oh my goodness, like, why would this happen?" And there was a bunch of different scenarios. Another one was really interesting with an alcoholic father and how that was really tumultuous for the children, and it was really hard, but it showed how he signed up to, to deal with that and overcome addiction, and the kids had these soul contracts. I can't remember fully, but it was about love. And in the end he overcame addiction and apologized to his kids and they f- they understood, forgiveness was one of them. And it was just like this beautiful, like you see all these pieces coming together. But when we're living life and we're in our human form and these things happen, it's hard to find the compassion or the forgiveness sometimes, or to see from that higher vantage point. And I wanted to bring this conversation and idea in because sometimes there's that saying of the universe is gonna keep bringing you the same scenario over and over again until you learn from it. It's like the emotionally... It's like the girl that has father issues that keeps picking emotionally unavailable men, and then she's "This isn't working. I'm gonna break up." And then you find someone else, and you find yourself in that same loop of continuing picking those emotionally unavailable men until you start to understand the patterning in you and what is attracting that scenario, right? What are you learning in that soul contract? What are you evolving and growing through? And I think that's really beautiful because then it's not I'm broken and damaged, I keep attracting people that don't know how to love me. It's okay, where do I need to learn how to love myself? What needs healing? Where is that inner child work that can be done that I can repair that so I can start to feel that love for myself and then attract those healthy relationships? Is the idea, which is really liberating, right? So each story in this book is different. It's really interesting. Like I said, there's drug and alcohol, there's physical illness, there's severe accidents parent disabilities, death of a loved one, experiencing loss to learn resilience and compassionate. And the idea is that these experiences were chosen by the soul before birth, before incarnation, as learning opportunities for the soul. There are certain things that we can go through. And I- I've heard about this before in, in a bunch of different ways, a bunch of different podcasts, and everybody's got a little bit of a different take on it. But I just think it's really fascinating because you can take it into that you chose your parents, right? And even though sometimes you can have these hard relationships, and you can be like, "Why would I choose this hard relationship?" It's like equally you can say, "What did I learn from this?" Maybe in a p- previous life you had a really loving, nurturing relationship, and you didn't grow in that area. You grew in a different way, and this time you're like, "I wanna learn this so that I can pick up XYZ." And not only that, I feel like this is something that I've heard before, is that you've also picked your body in this lifetime. And as someone who has really struggled in the past, in the earlier part of my life with body image issues, knowing now that I've, I chose this as the avatar that I was gonna wear throughout my soul life, how lovely is that? And also, there's a saying I always say is "If we saw each other as souls and not physical bodies, how would we look at things differently?" And that's really beautiful. And we always have a chance to really shine from that soul level. And that's why we're here. So often people are like, "What is my purpose? What is my thing? If someone just told me what to do, what am I supposed to be doing?" And I'm like, what if your whole purpose, and I said this I believe in the authenticity episode, was to remember who you are, to be present, to connect with your soul self, to remember who you are, and to honor the gifts of of the things that you signed up to gift. And I think it's really cool because even when you tap in, and I'm geeking out right now, like I'm totally going off my notes I'm, like, side tangenting. But I got together with a really good friend the other day, and we were talking about human design gene keys and your birth chart. And the cool thing is When I looked up all of my stuff and I really gave myself permission to understand it, I am living right now my human design, I'm living my gene keys, and I'm living everything that's in my birth chart. All three of those things line up and I'm honoring those gifts that are within me. I'm living from this authentic place and really connected to my soul self. And that's not a coincidence that, that all of these line up. Of course, this was a soul contract. Of course, th- this was like a blueprint of what I was meant to experience in this lifetime. But I can see so clear as day I was not strong enough to do this in my 20s. I would've faltered, I would've failed, and I would've never revisited. I had to build these skills in other non-threatening ways so that when I came here... And also, I think, really geeking out, when you look at the timeline of everything that's happening collectively, I feel like people are more ready for the work that I'm doing now than they would've been 20 years ago, even though other people were doing it 20 years ago. it's just like I feel like all of that lined up so beautifully, and I can see that in my own process. And what I know to be true is that every person on the podcast, when I first started the podcast, I had guests every single week, and I would always ask, "How did you get into this line of work?" They, what they're, they were an expert on, right? I was inviting them on to be a guest expert, and every single person would share how their pain point was their power and their purpose. They struggled with something, they learned about it, they overcame it, and now that's the gift that they're sharing with the world. And I'm like, I don't think that's a coincidence. And I think that's really beautiful because when you can look at your struggles and your pain points and turn them into power and purpose, what does that look like? It feels a lot better. So for example, someone who maybe came in with a lot of social anxiety or anxiety, what, like- what is a gift that they can learn about nervous system regulation? Or someone who came in and they have a really hard time with boundaries, and they keep having a hard time with boundaries, and they keep... and I've seen someone like this, and she's "I'm in the same scenario over and over. Why are people taking advantage of me?" And I'm like, "That would feel very hard to feel that way. I fully hold the space for that, but what if you look from the higher vantage point of where are you allowing people to treat you that way, and where do you need to put those boundaries in place?" And she told me, she's "I really struggle with that. I will put something and then I feel bad." And it's okay, then you're learning how to be confident in who you are, and you have to push through that growth edge. And it's the same thing with people who, if they maybe signed up to come in and learn self-love. What are you gonna do for the first part? You're gonna learn by contrast. Self-hatred, maybe not liking your body, maybe struggling with eating disorders, maybe struggling with addiction where you want to escape. And the return from that is That's not loving yourself. And you can do it for so long until you get sick of your own shit, and then you decide to say, "There's got to be another way." I know that's how I felt with my eating disorder. I was like, "I thought if I was thinner, I'd be happier, and the people would like me more," but I hated myself. How could anybody like me when I don't even like me? And I got so sick of it. I was so sick of my own shit that I was like, "I gotta fix this. I gotta heal. I gotta learn about this." And I started learning about kinesiology, and I started to find the body fascinating, and I went away to school for that. And then I started to learn how miraculous the body was, and I had such a level of respect for it, and I didn't wanna hurt myself anymore. And I really started to learn self-love in, in that kind of a way. And you can see how when you're learning this soul contract thing, you don't learn self-love through coming and loving yourself. You learn it through contrast, through struggle, through overcoming adversity. But once that lesson's there, you have it, self-love isn't bubble baths and self-care Sunday. It's loving yourself through the ups and downs in life, giving yourself kindness and grace, looking in the mirror and liking who you are, taking really good care of yourself because you know that you're worth it. And I think that this conversation is just really expansive when we can start to look at, "What am I learning about myself? Where am I growing as a soul?" And if I could see it as a test, like I did well in school, and if I understood there was a complex problem that I didn't know how to fix, I would go for support from a teacher or a mentor. Or I remember I had biomechanics, and I had just a heck of a time with that class. Math, I was like, "It's just not my forte. My brain doesn't like it. I don't like it." And I would go to Mark, and I'm like, "Help me figure this out." We were in the same class for this one class, and he didn't have to go to class 'cause his brain can do math so well. So you reach out for support. You don't just say I'm not good at m- biomechanics. I'm just not gonna go to class. I'm gonna fail the test." You're like, "Okay, I need extra support. So what do I need so I can pass this? Because I wanna get a good grade." We were very good at trying to get a good GPA and then we wanted to get a good job, and all of these things, right? So even the things that sometimes you don't like to do you, you do them because that's the requirement to passing the test. And there's so many variables in this, but I just wanted to share this conversation so that you can start to expand in looking at your biggest struggles or pain points in your own life and really anchoring in, one, the strength that they gave you the lessons and the wisdom that they gave you, or what you're learning now and how you can turn that into feeling very empowered. And I really feel like at the end of your life, you go through a soul Like, you're looking at, like, how you did while you were here on Earth. And I don't I feel like your soul actually goes up, and the only way that I can say that this is a felt experience is when my dad passed away, I was there and so was my mom and my two sisters, and they just basically unplugged him from the machine and said he's just gonna slowly his breath is gonna slow down, and eventually he's gonna stop breathing and he's gonna pass. And I had never seen that before. I didn't know what to expect. I was r- scared, but I love my dad enough to know that I wanted to be there. I wanted him to feel loved and supported through the transition, through the passing, and I just wanted him to know "You were a good dad." "There's a lot of love." "You're surrounded in love as you transition," 'cause that's how I would wanna feel. And we watched him take his last breath and, it was hard. It was very sad. And I remember feeling his soul leave his body and just be up at the top of the ceiling in the hospital room, and all I felt was total bliss and love. I felt no pain. I felt like he was so happy, the amount of love that was in that room for him, that it was like, kinda I did good, and I will never forget that feeling because I was like, wow, I used to be afraid of death before 'cause I was like, "Oh no, we pass and then we're dead forever and ever." And I don't know exactly where that soul goes. I feel like it goes somewhere in the universe, somewhere in the galaxy, and wherever that is, I don't have to know the information. I just know it goes up. And when it's ready to come back down, it comes back down. It creates a new soul contract, a new what do I wanna learn this time, and who do I wanna come in with, and and that's why sometimes people Like soulmates, it's were you in lifetimes before where you just come in and you just know each other, right? Where you maybe signed up to be changing roles. Imagine your kid was your mom in the next lifetime and you were the kid or something like that. And the thing is, like you don't remember, but have you ever met someone where you're like, "I feel like I've known you before"? Like that kind of feeling. But anyways, when we pass, I feel like we come back into that wholeness of remembering that soul self where there is no pain, there is no whatever, and it's like they're not gone forever and ever. I feel like my dad's essence is there whenever. It's just I don't have him in the physical realm, but I have him as the energetic realm. And there's certain times where the kids are doing something, and my heart wants to worry, and I'm like, "Okay, Dad keep an eye on them for me," and it brings me into peace and that supports me, and that's my belief system. You can believe whatever it is that you want, but I feel like All of the things, like when you pass, when you're doing that review of your life, you're not gonna be like, "Yeah, my life was really good. I got this car, got this much money in the bank." And maybe you will. Maybe that was your soul contract. Maybe you had a life where you were really poor and you're like, "This is what I need," but I really think about that sometimes of if and when I get to that place, can I say that I really sat with those lessons? Ca- did I live a life in alignment with my core values, with my soul as a compass, with my intuition guiding me? Did I live bravely? Did I live in the arena? Did I love boldly? Did I, show the people that I love how much they mean to me on a daily basis? Like, all of those things I think about, and this is why, again, I wanted to bring this conversation in as not only for our pain points, but also for alignment in our lifetime, and not waiting. 'Cause I saw this other reel on Instagram and it's like they polled a whole bunch of people who were in hospice or palliative care and near the end of their life, and they asked them "What are your five top regrets in life?" And they were all very similar. "I wish I didn't take time for granted. I wish I stayed in contact with more friends or family and loved ones. I wish that I didn't work so much." There's all these things, right? And anyways, just food for thought, something to think about if you felt like you were at the end of your life or whatever, and you're doing that soul contract review of what you have learned, how did you pass the test? How did you grow? How'd you evolve? Did you have fun? That's a big part of it. We think it's like, "Oh, no, I have to pass the test. I have to..." It's no, you can move through this with more love, with more honesty, with more truth, with more joy more gratitude, more appreciation. That, that's a huge part, right? And people who resonate and believe in soul contracts say that they help the soul learn specific lessons. So again, like I said, love, forgiveness, boundaries, compassion. And past actions in past lifetimes sometimes can be linked to what we're learning now, and it really helps souls grow through these shared experiences. So I'm coming back to my notes, and how do we choose our contract? Of course, there's no way for us to prove this at all, okay? So I read this book, and it felt resonant in me of yes- This feels true. And that's how I know there's something there that connects me to me. And I feel this with certain things and that's how I know it's my beacon for what is true. If it didn't feel resonant, I wouldn't be sharing it, 'cause it wouldn't feel truth for me. So I want you to sit with what feels resonant in your body. But either way, for me, when I was reading this, I was like, "Yes, this makes so much sense. Totally believe this." And the Akashic records, I feel like this is a similar thing where it's like this stored information that we have access to, which can be super helpful from previous lifetimes and stuff like that, which is a whole podcast for another day. But for coming here, it's like you can't prove the Akashic records. You can't prove soul contracts. You can't prove what happens after you pass, but you can look at things like near death experiences and the things that people see, the things that people talk about. I read a different book on it, Rachel Brathen, The Yoga Girl, where she had a friend who was passing, and she was super intuitive and, like, all this i- information that came through. There's so many things where it's like we can't explain it, but there's data that's coming through. And for me, I'm just going off w- my own experiences and what felt resonant. So in spiritual teachings, the idea that be- before we incarnate Our soul exists in a non-physical state of awareness. So again, the ethers, we're up somewhere. A non-physical state, and there we review past lifetimes, we identify areas of growth that we want, and we plan experiences that will help us evolve. And the soul may work with spirit guides, higher self, a soul group, so other souls who help to incarnate together repeatedly to help each other's evolution. And then the soul incarnates, and you forget the plan. So the lessons are experienced really authentically, right? Like, how easy would it be if you came in and you were like, "Oh, I'm gonna learn this, and this is gonna be so easy"? And it would be so boring, right? It would feel a little bit more gentle. But again, like I said, this can help explain why certain life events or relationships feel deeply meaningful or destined. And some really common examples are difficult relationships. So you can have a challenging partner. That might be part of the contract to teach self-worth, boundaries, forgiveness, how to give and receive love. It could be different- difficult relationships in partnership, in marriage, with parents, with siblings. It could be an illness, death, addiction, disability, soulmate or twin flame connections, life challenges. There are so many different things that could come through. I know there's a book called Signs by Laura Lynne Jackson, I believe. And I really love that book because it also talks about Because she, I believe, is a psychic medium, and it talks about people who have passed, and a lot of times it's the people who are here that are still grieving. And one of the stories from the book that's coming to my mind right now is that there was a seven-year-old and he went to the dentist. And, as a mom, you're like, "Yeah, my kid's going to the dentist." And something happened, something unexpected happened, and he passed, and the parents were devastated. They couldn't move on. And I get that. Having kids of my own, I'm just like, that's unfathomable for me, and especially the dentist, right? And the psychic medium, Laura, meets with the parents, and the kid comes through and he's "I'm okay. I want you to be okay. I'm so s- sad that you're sad, and I want to let you know I'm okay." And like he signed up for this experience, to be here for a short period of time. And as hard as that is to fathom, it's like- There, there could be a reason, but we just don't know. And I'm like, "Please don't let me sign up for any of those." But it's like you never know, right? We just don't know why or how, but if we can start to say "What are we learning? How are we growing? How can we connect?" And this is something that's really beautiful that, my dad's not here, and it's really hard. And I, I see it being really hard for my mom because they were each other's best friend. So it's like not only did I lose my dad my mom lost part of herself, too, and it is And that- that's really hard. But I don't think of it as I lost him. I feel like he's just in a different realm. And that brings me peace in knowing just because I physically can't see him doesn't mean I can't talk to him, connect to him. He comes into my meditations sometimes. One time he came in and he told me something, and, ugh, it just made me cry. And I was like clear as day. I could see his face, and the message and his voice and e- and everything. And it was exactly what I needed to hear in that moment. And I'm just like, how magical is it that we have access to that? But we're just not really taught that. So I think sometimes when we can anchor in that there's so much more to the human experience when we tap into the soul side of things that we can't explain. But if you start to get curious and lean into it, you I always hear this saying, and it's "When the student is ready, the teacher appears". So let's talk about why understanding your soul contract can help you grow personally and spiritually. So within the spiritual belief system, understanding your soul contract is thought t- to really help you stop resisting certain lessons. If you are repeating the same lesson over and over, what we resist persists, my friends. So just ask yourself, what is the lesson? What is the lesson, universe? Let's sit with this. And you can start to also recognize repeating life patterns. So again, you can start to course correct and heal them within your own self, 'cause when you clear that in your own self- It can also help you heal karmic relationships. So if there's anything karmically from a past lifetime that you brought into this lifetime, sometimes we come in to clear that energy up in this lifetime. You could also make more conscious choices. So there's a lot of benefits, right? Instead of just going through the motions and wake up, go to work, come home, make dinner, watch a show, go to bed, repeat, like that autopilot, you can really interrupt that with conscious choices on how do I wanna grow? How do I wanna live? What looks like a- aligned, alignment in my soul self and in my life? And you can start to recognize these patterns that lead to growth. We didn't come here to be complacent. We didn't come here for it to be really hard either. It's a mix of growing and having fun, and learning and exploring, and sharing our soul gifts and Really expanding what we think we can do in a beautiful way, and how your connection to spirituality can really help you... some practices that I would explore, this has really helped me, and I, I'm telling you, I just got together with a girlfriend and I was just like, "This was such a permission slip for me." So astrology, understanding your birth chart. And if you don't, if you look it up and you don't understand it look at one thing. Look at one thing from your chart to learn, or get a birth chart reading. There's so many people that do that, and they can explain it to you so that you can understand what it's telling you. And when I got I had Ally, the Astrowitch, she read my birth chart, and I had someone else that came on I'm drawing a blank on her name. But I had two birth chart readings and I started to understand stuff on my own, and that was really helpful, 'cause I'm like, "Oh my goodness. Yeah, my 12th house, which is all about the subconscious, is Pisces. That's my sun sign. I'm meant to be..." And then I look at my human design and gene keys. My greatest gift in this lifetime on my human design and gene keys is the gift of spirit. It's all lining up here, guys. It's all lining up that I'm living my design, I'm living my blueprint, I'm living what feels authentic to my soul, where my soul has been guiding me, and that's really helpful. So if you want to understand your soul contract more, if you're feeling like, "I have no idea", look at your astrology birth chart. Human design is a really tricky one because it's not an intuitive chart, and this is what the person I was talking to, she's like, "Yeah." I'm like, "Okay, just look here at your human design. Look up your gene keys. If you go to genekeys.com, Richard Rudd is the founder of this, and when you put in your information the same way you put in your astrology, it'll give you your genius, which is your life's purpose and your life's work. It'll give you your Venus sequence, which is all about your love, and it will give you your pearl sequence, which is about money and prosperity and finance. And If you can start to understand those keys and information, it gives you access to more of yourself, and it's usually pretty resonant. And it was interesting 'cause I was like, "Just pick one gate and learn that." And I have a ton of podcast episodes on here where Maria came on, and I... She did three episodes on human design. So go check out those episodes. They're so good. She explains certain ways to read the chart to make it more digestible, and one of the episodes was on manifestation with your human design and gene keys. We also had another person... There's a lot of episodes on human design and gene keys, 'cause I really understand it's not an intuitive chart. But if you have any questions, just reach out to me on the socials. I would love to guide you in the right direction, because this was so liberating for me, and I learned it one gate at a time. And so that's what I said to my friend the other day. I'm like, "Okay, here, this is your life's work, this one at the top. Start to learn on this gate. That's the only thing that you have to do right now." And when she first read it, she's "Oh my gosh, this is so me. I'm so this. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." I'm like, "This is exactly it." It's not like you're looking at this chart and it's telling you something way out of left field of oh my goodness. And it tells you your radiance on the chart, and what that is the thing that allows you to flourish, and it's sustainable. And mine is the gate of power, which is all about movement. And so for me, in my life, to feel really radiant and h- have a sustainable energy, movement, daily movement is important. And if you know me, that's so me. Whether I'm on vacation, wherever I am, I get daily movement because that energizes me. It's like fuel. It's like drinking water. It's a life force energy for me that is non-negotiable, and I'm like, "That's so me." But other people might not have that same gate of radiance, so theirs might be totally different. But the cool thing is, when you start to understand that, you start to understand your soul contract or your soul's blueprint, and you can start living from your design or the... what you signed up for or what feels really genuine and authentic to you. And sometimes when we don't have that spiritual connection, it's hard to know, because we're logically trying to think it through. So this is why I'm sharing this information. If you're not where I'm sitting, where I c- I can tap in my intuition, these two tools can be really helpful. Daily meditation is helpful. Energy work is helpful. Tarot and oracle reading is really helpful. Past life regression, journaling and reflection, so all these things that I share. But basically it's like, how do you connect to yourself on a daily basis? You show up for everybody else. You show up for work. You show up for... How do you connect to yourself? That would be a really great place to start. How do you connect to your intuition? That would be a really great place to start. And this is, can be any practice that helps you connect with your intuition or your higher self I, like I said I'm pretty intuitive, so I connect with these habits, practices, and rituals on a daily basis, which is really what's guiding me. And sometimes it's gonna guide you into the unknown, and you have to follow that because your soul or your intuition would not guide you there for no reason. I couldn't have planned that I would get here. I share this all the time. But I have people ask me all the time, they're like how did you just trust?" I'm like, I just... You... That's self-trust. That's self-love, is trusting yourself over what other people tell you. That's where all the wisdom is. And some spiritual practitioners claim that they can sense or interpret soul contracts using tools like astrology birth charts, psychic or intuitive channeling, tarot or oracle cards, or Akashic record readings. So I know that there are people online that do read soul contracts or read Akashic records or can tap into these kinds of things which is really helpful if you're looking for some support on the journey. But also take that information and then apply it from within on what feels really, Resonant for you because you don't need them to figure out your life themes. But if it is a support system to you, like I said if you're in biomechanics, is-- if that's what spirituality feels like to you and you need support, seek out support. I definitely did, and it was able to help me understand the concepts and pass the test and get a good grade in the course, so I didn't have to repeat that course. 'Cause I did not want to fail and do biomechanics for a second semester. I wanted to get it done in the first try so that I can move on to the things that I actually like doing. And like I said, these tools can for sure help. It was a game changer for me when I had my birth chart reading and my human design and gene keys as well. It was such a permission slip to be myself and lean in to who I am authentically. And it was hard for me in the beginning because I'm a manifesting generator, so I'm basically like the Energizer Bunny. As long as I'm doing what I'm passionate about, I can crank out eight hours of work in two hours. But I would always try and put myself to other people's standards of oh other people, their business is open from this to this. They have one thing that they do. They have one offer. And a lot of business coaches will tell you that. Solve one problem, and I'm like, manifesting generators are multi-passionate people. They don't wanna do one thing. They wanna have the podcast. They wanna do the coaching. They wanna do the read. They have a whole bunch of things that they're passionate about, and that energy is magnetic for their soul and also equally attracting in their people. So they can't operate from other people's standards. So understanding that can be really helpful. And something else that about understanding this is really helpful is both my son and my husband are projectors. And what I know about project-- 'cause manifesting generators, I literally see us as the Energizer Bunny. As long as we're passionate, we can go. And my husband used to say, "You need an off switch," because I-- it would be like nine o'clock at night and I'm like, "I'm just gonna put one more thing here. I'm just gonna do this." Whereas when my husband and son have output a lot during the day, they need equal amount of recharge time, so that downtime is really important to them. And when I pull them out of that, it's really irritating because they're like, "I need this downtime." But my body and my contract and my soul is operates on a different system, so I didn't understand. I'm like why can't you help out?" But my energy source is different than that. So understanding your family's human design and their birth charts or even just understanding a little bit about them, it was such a permission slip to be like, they're not being lazy. This is actually what their soul needs to recharge, so I can honor what their needs are, which is really helpful. So as I mentioned earlier, because I got ahead of myself, that we have soul contracts with death too. And a lot of times people... I just recently heard this on this podcast, which I shared on my Instagram, is like a lot of times people will pick their exit points and how they wanna go, and sometimes it's based off of what happened before. Maybe in their past life they died really suddenly, and so this time And they didn't have a chance to say goodbye to their family. So this time they're like, "I wanna know, and then I'll have more time with my family to say goodbye." Or maybe one time it was this, and so you come in, in, in this life, and you want to experience it in a different way. And it's thought that just the same way you come with a soul contract, you plan how you want to go. And I don't know fully how that works. I don't put too much thought into it, because that doesn't really serve me to do that, but I just, I trust in the process. I trust in that things are navigating the way that they're supposed to. And I always just ask "What am I learning? Where am I growing?" Every morning I pull my tarot cards and I'm just like, "Okay, what is... what does my energy body wanna know today? What's my highest self and what am I learning? Where am I growing?" And it's not like I'm like, "Oh, this is predicting my future." It's like this is the energetics that I have to play in today. And the spiritual s- perspective of when the soul crosses is that your soul leaves the physical body. So physical body stays there, and like I said, I really I've never seen this before, but when my dad passed, I was like I'm an empath, I'm an intuitive. I felt when he, his soul left his body. and he was there. And he was not sad. it was pure bliss. It was pure love. If I had to say what unconditional divine love is, I feel like that's what the soul returns to, which is such a beautiful thing, right? They return to this non-physical spiritual realm, and they reconnect with loved ones or guides in that soul self experience, and they review their life experiences. And when they're ready to reincarnate, they continue learning. And so at the end of our life, we have that life review. Like I said before, So the idea is that after death, the soul replays major life events, feels the impact of its actions on others, learns from both the positive and harmful choices, and not as punishment, but as learning and understanding. And I think that's really beautiful. You're just like, "Oh, I didn't realize that what this action did this. Oh, I didn't realize that this was actually way more impactful than I thought." You just start to see things. And sometimes you'll see that when someone knows that they're going to pass, they'll start to hallucinate or see things, and not in a bad way. And I know when my dad was passing, he saw something and he was talking about it, but he seemed confused and I was like, I feel like someone's... like another person is here to help guide him through this. But when he was passing, he was, like, almost sleeping, so he couldn't communicate that. But it was like the day before, he's "Oh, yes, someone's right there", and there was no one right there. It was the wall. So I don't fully know this, but I wonder, and I... from that experience, I'm just like that's really interesting. Imagine someone comes through to help you from the spirit realm and we're here helping in the physical realm, and then you go through that life lesson. And the personal spiritual belief system says that it helps us make sense of our life experiences, and this really helps to encourage compassion and growth, and it gives meaning to relationships and challenges. One helpful way to look at soul connection is this Life presents patterns for us. Relationships, challenges, and all of these things teach us something about who we are becoming. I know a lot of us think our purpose is our job, s- that success is money, and having more things i- is the be-all, end-all. This is what we want, right? But what if the whole point is to explore life, and our purpose is to grow on a soul level and remember who we truly are, and remember that we have everything inside of us? That divine love is right in our chest, and we get to return to that. And when we do, we see the beauty in ourselves, and then we see the beauty in everybody else. Everybody else. This is the law of oneness at its highest ets- essence. And what if Earth is a school for the soul? Earth provides contrast and intense experiences that allow the soul to grow faster than they could in the spirit realm. In the spirit realm, you don't have... we always talk about the Earth as a a 3D. It's a 3D density. It's a lot denser than the ethereal spirit realm, so there's a lot of intense contrast. There's a lot of heaviness. There's a lot of room for us to grow as a soul. And in the spirit realm or world, it's mostly love and peace, so it's hard to grow there. You're just sitting in this bowl of bliss, which I think, yes, that is wonderful. But on Earth, there is joy, but there's also suffering. There's love and there's conflict. There's success and there's loss. E- experiencing the opposite often helps the soul fully understand itself. Like I said, when you wanna learn compassion, you're... Typically, it's 'cause you don't have it. So how do you learn it? Through experiences that teach you compassion. You wanna learn self-love? You're, you don't have it. You learn it through experiences. And if you think about If life's challenges have spiritual purpose, you can reframe your painful experiences as intentional catalysts for growth. So just like the example with the husband or the dad that found him like very able-bodied, fell into the pool, coming into a wheelchair. I feel like he was paraplegic, and this... everything that happened, it shifts his perspective on society, on his own self-worth. He learns and grows and b- really takes this adversity and uses that as inspiration. And I know when I taught in college, there's another person, Rick Hansen, similar thing happened to him, and now he's a huge motivational speaker. Think about Terry Fox. There's all kinds of people that these things happen to them. And even Mother Teresa there's a whole story with her where she was bedridden for a long time, and all of these things happened, and then she just evolved and grew as a soul, right? So think about all of these challenging contrasts, whether it's health struggles, financial stuff, major life setbacks. Your soul agreed to all of these adversities. Addiction. And a lot of times addiction, the antidote to that isn't sobriety. The antidote or the medicine is connection. A lot of times, y- people see addiction as, okay, these... i- how they're portrayed in the movies, I don't even want to say because it's just rude. But it's like usually it's these people who desperately feel lonely. They're numbing out. they don't know self-love. So overcoming that addiction, they learn self-love. They learn healing. They reconnect to that divine love within themselves to overcome this. And I've really been loving learning about Mary Magdalene, and if you want to go down that rabbit hole, I'm not gonna talk much about it, but you can learn about the seven powers of the ego. And when you can overcome those, you come to this level of spiritual peace, which is really beautiful, which is a whole other podcast for another day. But a lot of them... so addiction would come into one of the powers of the ego, which would be overconsumption, right? And typically, when we're overconsuming, it's like we're trying to fill a void in the soul, in our heart, in something that feels like it's not complete. So you can keep trying to fill that hole with this thing that's not filling it, or you can look from the soul contract lens of- What would actually fill that? What would self-love look like? What would not putting this harmful substance in my body feel like? Or even if it's not harmful, say it's just food, you're overdoing with food. it's taxing on your system. It's taxing on your organs that have to do all these things, right? And it... you're trying to fill something. And when we can look at it and say, "What am I... What hole am I trying to fill within me? What love and connection do I need? What am I starving for that food c- just can't fix?" Or whatever the vice is. And that's when healing starts. In relationship, whatever pain point it is, you look, it's... Relationships are like a mirror, and you heal through that. Family contracts also come in. You picked your parents, and I think that's really helpful because a lot of times people are like, "I have a wound for my inner child." And I'm like, "Cool." It's not to blame your parents, because their parents had shit, and their parents had... Like, how far down the line does it go? But the idea is that you come in and do your own inner work, re-parent your own self, give yourself the love that you needed, and can you practice forgiveness or whatever it is that you need? I'm not telling you what your... 'Cause everybody's gonna have something different, and I don't want someone to be like, "But you don't understand. I can't forgive this." And I'm like, "That's not for me to say. That's for you to learn and evolve on your own soul path." But the purpose is really learning unconditional love, healing generational patterns. Okay? So think about how many people right now that are healing generational patterns of Addiction, abuse, all of these things. W- the other purpose, experience belonging or change. Really anchoring in change into the grid of what's happening right now. There could be romantic or soulmate contracts. I'm a total cheese ball, and I totally believe in soul, soulmate contracts. Teacher-student contracts, healing contracts, catalyst contracts, triggers turning into healing, service contracts. So some people could sign up, their soul, their whole soul contract. Think about Mother Teresa. It's like coming in and being of service, and that's why you have certain people that are like, "I feel like I was born to help." It's like you feel that. It's so resonant in your bone, in your bones, in your soul. And it's okay, honor that gift, honor that calling. And really lean into how am I gonna make the world a bit of a better place? And how beautiful is that you get to do that? And if you take any struggle that you are currently having, see if there's a common pattern or theme. And instead of asking why is this happening to me or why did this happen to me that's the go-to what people wanna say is "Oh, my daughter's not listening. Why is she doing this to me?" Or, "This isn't happening. Why is this happening?" And it's easy to point the finger. Instead of doing that, ask what might this experience be teaching me? Notice the repeating patterns. If you keep experiencing the same lesson with different people, know that's going to keep happening. You're the common denominator, and when you change, that situation changes. So again, like I said, repeatedly attracting unavailable partners, And if you keep being in situations where you must learn boundaries and you have a hard time learning boundaries, and you're getting upset about it, notice that. that is a clear sign that you are meant to learn how to put up healthy boundaries and hold the line and stand up for yourself, 'cause no one else is gonna do that for you. And if there's people that keep disrespecting that, there's this level of you teach people how they're allowed to treat you in some regard. So that's something that I would say that would be at the forefront of what your soul is trying to learn right now. And if you're facing the same type of conflict again and again, over and over, there's definitely a lesson there. And this, like I said, you can interpret it as a lesson that your soul hasn't fully integrated yet, and you can shift from Like, why is this repeating? To interesting that this is repeating, let's take this data, and what are we learning about this? What's happening inside of us? What's happening emotionally, energetically? How can we heal from this? Do we need to learn something about this? and you absolutely can. The more that you're like, "Okay, this is a pattern. This is what's happening. let's look at this. Okay, I have insecure attachment or anxious attachment." Learn everything you can about avoidant anxious attachment, and you can start to heal that within your own self. And you can start to understand the language. Or whatever it is. You wanna learn how to, learn how to have healthy boundaries? You can find out how to do that. You wanna learn how to regulate your nervous system? You can learn how to do that. Everything is learnable. And then you can start to take that aligned action. When you take that aligned action, things start to shift and your life starts to shift, and then it's "Oh, I've passed this, so I'm no longer in the space where i'm gonna know all the red flags of emotionally unavailable men." Or women, conversely, right? Depending on what you're attracting in. And this happens through self-awareness, through healing old emotional wounds, setting boundaries, choosing different behaviors, really looking at what needs to be healed inside of you, healing those triggers. 'Cause triggers are just showing you an unhealed part of you, and if someone else is activating that, you can't point the finger at them. you kinda can, but the wound is inside of you. So the idea is that when the lesson is learned, the contract no longer needs to repeat, and it's "Okay, I don't have to do biomechanics anymore. Amazing." The pattern stops repeating. And another example is if your lesson is involved in self-worth and you move through this successfully, your relationship would become healthier and more balanced. You would have that self-worth. Every relationship from there on in would be coming in from a level of self-worth. Like, how you show up in work is gonna be coming from that place. another example, if you learn healthy boundaries, you stop attracting people who push or violate your boundaries. If you overcome addiction, you lean into connection and you stop escaping yourself and you start to have that level of self-love. Health issues, you learn to receive support. Many people notice life feels less chaotic and more aligned after. It always does, because you're working with yourself instead of against yourself, and you're working to graduate from this lesson so you don't have to keep repeating it. And you could move into a new soul lesson. Some beliefs say that it unfolds in layers of contracts and lessons, and the onion, right? Peeling away the layers. But also I see it as a mountain. at the top of one mountain, you see the base of the next. And that's not to say Oh, it's always gonna be hard, we're always climbing uphill, but it's like you're seeing... you're being taken to new heights, you're soaring, you're ascending, you're seeing higher, you're healing on a deeper level. What a gift that you get to go on that journey. And once one is completed, new opportunities for growth appear, different kinds of relationships enter your life, and you move towards a new purpose or path. You're less triggered, you're more confident, you're lighter. You move with more peace and clarity. And I've heard this before that a healed woman or a person is a dangerous person because you're competing with their peace. And I really agree with this because it's if you're coming in and you're challenging my peace, you're not coming in. If you're competing with my peace is gonna win because I've evolved and worked so hard to be here, and this feels so good. And what I will say is, from this lighter place of all of the things that I've learned and grown through, all of these soul lessons and wisdoms, I now have the most divine friendships and relationships and connections in business, and it... And it feels effortless. I feel so seen. Everything feels easy. There's nothing shady, and that's really beautiful. And this is what I'm saying it's all worth it, right? I- I've definitely been in relationships before where I've been taken advantage of or where people didn't wanna show up for the relationship if w- You know what I mean? It wasn't like... you had to come with a mask on. And if... As long as you had the mask on, you were good. But if you were real, it's "Oh, too much, too vulnerable, too this, too that, too whatever." And that's fine. But that's probably because that's where I was at, that I was masking at, right? And I think that's the big thing, is the ownership in how you're showing up. How you're showing up is what you're attracting in. And a central theme with all of this is that free will matters. You always have free will and choice. And the idea isn't that everything is predetermined. Instead, it's that these lessons or themes may exist, but you choose how you respond. That's your choice. You could say, "I'm gonna keep repeating this for the rest of life. I don't wanna look at it," and you... that's your choice. Or you could say, "I'm sick of this. Let's learn about it." And not every hard experience is a soul contract. Not everything has a cosmic reason. Sometimes shit just happens, okay? Some things happen because of chance, other people's choices, social or environmental circumstances And a healthy spiritual perspective encourages reflection without blaming yourself for every challenge, and I think that's really important. You're not looking at any of this from blame, shame, guilt or being hard on yourself or being judgmental. You're looking at data points for growth, data points for understanding yourself, data points for creating a life that feels really good. And this concept can be a really great tool for reflection and growth. That's the biggest takeaway: reflection and growth for you. And it's meaningful because it helps find meaning in difficult experiences. You can see relationships as opportunity for growth, and you can shift your mindset to, "What can I learn from this?" Which is really huge. So I'm gonna finish this episode with five journal reflection questions that you can ask yourself. And maybe you wanna pause right now and go get your journal, and you can write these down, and you can take some time later to reflect. Or if you're driving or whatever, you can always circle back or just sit with what-- which one stands out the most to you. So the first question is: What relationships in your life have taught you the most and why? Okay? So think about the relationships in your life that you have. Which ones have taught you the most and why? Look at the common patterns and themes and things that you've learned about yourself from those relationships, whether they're loving, whether they're challenging, whatever one. You're gonna sit and reflect and sit with what is true for you. The second question is: Have you noticed repeating patterns or challenges that seem to follow you through life? The same person, but in a different name, different body, but the same thing happening. Have you noticed that happening? What's the pattern? Can you name it? What's the challenge? Can you name it? And what do you think that you're meant to learn from this pattern or challenge? The third question: If you could renegotiate one life experience, what would it be, and what lesson might it be teaching you? If you could renegotiate one life experience, what would it be and what lesson might it be teaching? And I don't want you to think about renegotiating 'cause I've definitely had this before where when you heal, there's a bit of a period where you grieve the version of you that went through the things that you went through. You feel so sad for her because you're... or him for yourself because you're like, "Man I can't believe you did that or experienced that or didn't say anything," or whatever. There's grief there. But you didn't know any better, so you did the best with what you can. But you can focus on the growing pains and grief in that, or you can focus on the growing gains and "Thank goodness that I have the skills that I have now, and I don't live the rest of my life from that place." And you can focus on those gains. So I think that's really important, that we're not looking at renegotiating because we're trying to by- bypass the lesson. We're just... We're looking at what we might be learning or what life might be trying to teach us, and how can we elevate through that lesson in a soul-aligned way? The fourth question is, do you feel like some people come into your life just to push your buttons or trigger your growth? Who is that person in your life? Do you have anybody? And what do you think that they're trying to teach you? What does that trigger or that p- that button that they can push, what is that teaching you about you? The fifth and last question: Have you ever healed from a challenging experience and noticed that the same type of situation no longer appears? I love this question. This one is one of my favorites, because I've definitely noticed that there were certain situations that would keep happening, and I really dug in and went to heal all of those wounds. I actively was like, "I'm clearing this," like green light go energy. And so much purging, so much old emotional wounds released. And now that situation no longer appears in my life, or very minimally, very rarely, and oftentimes it's just "Nope that's not a thing anymore." And that really shows up in my relationships and in my life in a really beautiful way. So I'd love for you to take some time to journal on these if you feel called to it. Hopefully, there was something in this episode that landed for you or gave you a different perspective, shift, or vantage point for looking at your life circumstances or struggles or ups and downs. Maybe you're interested in looking up your birth chart or human design to understand yourself and your blueprint or soul contract. Whatever it is, let... just know that we're meant to be on this earth school to learn and grow as a soul, first and foremost, to have fun, and to create a life that we absolutely love living. So until next week, shine on, my friends Thank you for spending time with us today on Divine Health. If this conversation resonated with you, I would love for you to take a moment to pause and notice what feels aligned for you. What resonates? What is shifting inside of you? Where are you being inspired or motivated? And where are you being invited to grow into? This podcast is a beautiful reminder that health is not a destination, but an ongoing relationship with your body, your energy, your emotions, and your inner wisdom. It's also a lovely reminder that alignment happens in the small intentional choices that we get to make every single day.
