Taping into your Spiritual Heartbeat with Oliveyah Fisch
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Your life can look fine on paper and still feel frantic on the inside. We sit down with Oliveyah Fisch, coach and author behind the Spiritual Heartbeat movement, to talk about the missing ingredient many high-functioning people never learned to train: spiritual intelligence. Not as a lofty concept, but as a practical way to make decisions, lead yourself, and feel steady when everything around you speeds up.
We explore how spiritual intelligence fits alongside body intelligence, emotional intelligence and intellect, and why relying on intellect alone can leave you exhausted and stuck in overthinking. Oliveyah breaks down two below-the-line patterns many of us live in without noticing: the “rush zone” where urgency, striving and anxiety take over, and the “danger zone” where we feel triggered, overwhelmed and reactive. From there, we move into the shift that changes everything: treating life as happening for you, not to you, and learning to clean up the language that quietly reinforces stress.
The heart of the conversation is intuition. Oliveyah explains why intuition is not always comfortable, how to tell the difference between fear and guidance, and why real wisdom often arrives as just the next step, like a GPS. We also dig into the simplest practice we can all start today: eight minutes of stillness, daily, to meet yourself, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect to what you already know. Oliveyah also shares accessible ways to go deeper, including a free Spiritual Heartbeat assessment on her website and community-based support.
If you want calmer confidence, better boundaries, and a more grounded kind of success, press play. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs a reset, and leave us a review, what would you do differently if you trusted your intuition this week?

Welcome And The Big Idea
SPEAKER_00So, welcome everybody to another edition of Balm to the Soul. I'm your host, Natasha Joy Price, and I'm an energy therapist, an author, and of course a podcaster. And today we have a lovely new guest, and her name is Olivia Fish. So, welcome Olivia. Thank you so much for supporting the podcast. I'm so happy to be here, Natasha.
SPEAKER_01Thank you for having me.
SPEAKER_00It's an absolute pleasure. And when I was researching all about Olivia, you do so much. So we've got a lot to talk about, but primarily she's a coach and author and creator of the spiritual heartbeat movement. So let's start with that. Just um talk to the listeners about what is the spiritual heartbeat movement.
SPEAKER_01Beautiful. Thank you. So what I have created is a book called The Spiritual Heartbeat, The Ultimate Requirement for Success. And essentially what I'm doing my best to do is share with people how to bring spiritual intelligence into their everyday life. So we know about body intelligence. And our body says, Oh, I have to go to the bathroom, or oh, I'm thirsty. So I, you know, drink some water, or I'm tired, it's time to go to bed. Um, I'm lonely, I want to hug. You know, our body has such intelligence. We have emotional intelligence. There's an intelligence of our emotions, letting us know how we're feeling and how we're doing and how we can communicate better and how to attend to our needs and the experiences that we want to have. And then we have an intellect, which most of us are very familiar with. This is your um essentially your your problem-solving skills, your place where you're figuring things out and understanding something. And then you also have a spiritual self to tend to. And your spiritual self can't be ignored in the world that we're stepping into. It is the new playbook, I think, for success, for people to feel like they don't just get to do the right thing in life, but they are also recognizing it's important to really recognize who they are being as they are doing the things that they're doing. And so this is the movement I'm excited to share with people and teach people and also practice myself.
SPEAKER_00Sure. So you're you've got a new book coming out, Spiritual Heartbeat, Ultimate Requirement for Success. And this
What Spiritual Intelligence Means
SPEAKER_00is setting out what you've just explained, really, the tools and um, you know, how people can start doing that.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. Yeah. So it gives people a roadmap, a new playbook for success that includes essentially your spirit, that includes the work of the soul, the soul work that we're here to do. Somewhere along the way, we've signed up for the life that we're living. And are we doing that path well? Is it actually something that we are making time for? Is it something that we're aware of? Or do we feel like life is just continuing to happen to us or by us, constantly in that rush zone of life, as I speak about in my book, where we're just essentially below the line of effectiveness in a striver mindset, end up being very fast-paced and anxious and often overthinking or frustrated or in drama or this sense of urgency. And it usually is in a place of this ego-driven action where we feel a lot of fear and uncertainty about the world that we're living in. Sometimes it also comes in as demanding or craving of life, like needing it to be a certain way for us to be okay. So this is like the by me state of consciousness, is which I talk about in the book as the rush zone. And then another state of consciousness below the line of effectiveness is the to me state, where I call it the danger zone or the victim mindset, where you're often feeling really triggered or hijacked. Um, something comes into your space that doesn't match your preference, and then there's a lot of reactivity of shame or blame, and there's a sense of overwhelm where the body is responding in that fight or flight response system. So we we must be raising our baseline. I think this world is asking of us so much more. And to start, it's around really focusing on maybe this life is happening for me. Maybe everything that's happened so far is for me. And am I paying attention to what life is asking of me, or am I demanding it to meet my preference constantly?
SPEAKER_00Sure. So is this also part of intuition? Our intuition is that part and parcel of how we connect to our soul, uh our purpose in life?
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. So I think of wisdom as kind of an umbrella term. Sometimes in leadership um rooms, or when I'm working with teams and executives, I'll call it self-leadership, wisdom, intuition. All of this is in my mind the same thing. And underneath that umbrella of wisdom or the ability to self-lead is is underneath that can be your connection to a higher power. It can be your ability to connect with your future self, it can be your gut instincts, your what your heart is saying is right and not right, what your mind, you have an intellect, you have a you have a brilliant heart, a beautiful, beautiful heart wanting to help and guide you. You have body intelligence. Um, the wisdom is so easy to access, actually, if we just take a time take the time necessary to slow down and understand that we do have access to wisdom. We do have answers to the bigger questions and the maybe the small questions, the big and small um questions that we might have about how to move through the world. And when we are looking for those answers constantly from the external, we end up really lost because again, the world is moving so fast, everyone has different opinions. Chat GPT will say something to you about your perfect marketing strategy. You try to implement and it doesn't work. Well, you left
Rush Zone And Victim Mindset
SPEAKER_01out wisdom, you left out your own intuitive guidance with where life is asking you to go. And so, absolutely, our intuition is allowing us to recognize that we have all the answers we need. I think where people get tripped up with their intuition is that they're not used to recognizing what their intuition is versus their fear, so they haven't been able to navigate fear versus intuition or ego versus intuition. And this is why we have to practice building in spiritual intelligence into our life. Because if we don't practice, you'll think it's your intuition. Oh, this is what my intuition told me to tell my sister yesterday. But really, it was an ego move, right? Or it was a based move, um, or the people-pleasing move, or whatever it is that your pattern is. So to be able to distinguish between your old patterns or your parts and what's actually true takes a bit of practice and discernment. So this is the the work that we are all that we all get to do these days.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And also, I think you touched on it before when you said something. We we want to control everything, don't we? We want it to be a certain way, or we envisage that that's how the next six months are going to play out. And so we try and override our intuition, what we're the subtle clues we're get being given. And that's that sometimes is why we're thrown off as well, isn't it? Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01You're bringing up such a great point here. Thank you so much. Because you know, you especially because the world is moving so fast, so things are changing so rapidly, and every single person likes an element of certainty and uncertainty, some more than others. So uncertainty allows us to feel an excitement, like, oh, I don't know what's gonna happen. This is kind of fun, right? And then certainty allows us to feel safe. If we have zero uncertainty, we might be bored. We're like, oh, I didn't know what's gonna happen. What's the point? You know, it's not that exciting. If there's if there's you know zero certainty, though, our nervous system doesn't feel safe, essentially. It might feel like we don't have the capacity to handle um that little um amount of certainty that we're given. But here's what what I'm loving that you're bringing up. Our intuition is never wrong. Your intuition is never wrong. My intuition is never wrong. Anyone listening, your intuition has never been wrong. What happens is that sometimes people think that if they are getting a download or they're understanding something, they're connected to their intuition, they think it's gonna feel good. But oftentimes my intuition is telling me things I don't want to do. And it's like super inconvenient. And it's like not the it's like the thing that's gonna stretch me or have me grow in a way I didn't feel like growing, you know, or something. So I think that what we have to understand is your intuition is not always gonna say something that you want to hear, first of all. It comes to all of us in different ways. Some of it is a felt sense, some of it is is, you know, you can hear something. So to understand how your intuition talks to you is really important. And then the third thing to recognize is that your intuition usually only tells you just the next thing to do, it doesn't give you your six-month plan. It's just like now this, now this, now this. And people don't love that, you know. We want to have the the year plan, the the three-year plan, the 10-year plan, like make it okay. Tell me I'm gonna be fine forever. And that's not how it goes. So your intuition is kind of like your GPS system. It's like turn left, turn right. You're you're gonna turn left and then turn right, right? That's it. That's all you get. Okay. Yeah. And then and then it will tell you the next thing once you get there. And so if you kind of contrast the rhythm of how wisdom comes to you, and some of us do, we we get big downloads and it's fantastic. Those moments where I'm like, oh my gosh, I saw it exactly the way it's gonna be. This is freaking fantastic. Like, yes, every now and then you're gonna have a major download, and it's beautiful of where you get to go. But on a day-to-day basis, it's going to just give you the next best thing. Even if you don't, if you don't listen to it, it will continue to tell you and reroute you just like your GPS system. Here's the next best thing to do. Make the U-turn, right? Now, and that has to be enough. That has to be enough certainty. Um, as we trust ourselves and have faith in the universe and ourselves, that all is well, we are taken care of, everything we will be okay.
SPEAKER_00I always talk talk about it like being breadcrumbs, you know, you just literally the next step, but that's a great analogy. I actually um your intuition can also bring about a lot of healing, which can be uncomfortable, like you're talking about. Um, I did an exercise today, actually, um, and we talked to our heart and wrote out exactly what our heart was telling us. And actually, for the majority of people that were there, it was a surprise. It was not what they were expecting to come up. And for a lot of us, it was about just stop, just to do a bit of healing, you know, stop rushing around, just wait. So, you know, people have to be open to that as well, isn't it? It's not all this like you were talking about before,
Intuition Versus Fear And Ego
SPEAKER_00fast flow. Sometimes it's a period of just be patient and wait, or periods of healing, which can be uncomfortable.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. You know, so when you're wanting to speed up and your preference and your personality says it's time to go, but your intuition in life is saying, take a pause, slow down, rest more, recover, heal. That doesn't always feel great, right? It's like less is more, you know. That there was this is what my intuition has been sharing with me in this at least, you know, first half of the year here now, where I'm ready to go for the stars. And my intuition is like, no, more space, more rest, more integration. Let me assure you all the places you're not being what you're teaching, and let's go ahead and slow down and do do it for real, like every single bit of embodiment, right? So that's not my preference, but if that's what my soul is asking, my spirit is asking, great, let's go. I will rest, I will slow down. And I think that you're bringing up another important point around giving yourself some stillness to listen in and tune in and have practices of that. I'll share with you and anyone listening, there's such power in stillness for at least eight minutes a day. And as a non-negotiable, the power of eight is fantastic. And if you can recognize that, okay, from this day forward, I am gonna show up for myself and the work I've signed up to do and my soul contract. And I'm gonna get still enough for eight minutes a day to connect with a wisdom center, whether that's my mind, my heart, my womb, my gut, my intuition, divine, the stars, the trees outside. You know, nature is a beautiful teacher, but it does it it can be so many things. It doesn't have to look like one way, but that stillness for eight minutes is really important for us to say, I'm listening, I'm here, I'm ready to receive the wisdom you have to share. What do you want me to know today? It's a really important practice.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's that slowing down again, isn't it? It's that needing to not have this fast pace, always looking at your phone, always looking at emails, etc. And it you need space, don't you? I um I retired on Monday from congratulations, thank you from 29-year chapter of law. And um juggling things while working full-time is really, really hard. And as every day go but goes past, I get more clarity. And I realise, you know, if you have so much going on in your day, and I realize this, you know, which is why I retired and came to the end, because it but it just vulges you up, it vogles up that connection to your intuition, it it vogels up that seeing those next steps. So slowing down and just having that space is essential, isn't it? For just clarity, really.
SPEAKER_01Just uh yeah, yeah, and I just want to honor anybody and everybody, and even myself. There's just been so many times in life for me where I'm looking at what's required of me, you know, but I feel like, gosh, it's just like how am I gonna do this? I have to pay for things, I need to do these things. I I get to support my family, so how can I do this? You know, there's um it is there are some, I mean, I have some clients now, they've got two jobs and you know, dirty projects they want to get off the ground, and they've got kids and husbands, and you know, or even just leaders right now are really trying their best to keep up with the fast pace um in the business world in all sectors where we're trying to figure out what is the new way of business with AI and um everything is changing very quickly. So, how do we support ourselves? How do we support our teams, our families? And it seems so counterintuitive to say, okay, you're gonna slow down, you know, right away, if you're holding a lot and you hear that, you're gonna be like, Well, that's nice for you. Uh, did you know what I have to hold? What do you know what I'm holding right now?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And this is why I love talking about the power of eight minutes, the power of the eight-minute practice, because everybody has eight minutes. And if we can start there, so if you have a really big load, an alesthetic load that you're carrying that is challenging in this season of life, the first thing that you can do is say, I am willing to slow down for eight minutes. And I can do that consistently, and I'm gonna do this as a non-negotiable, I'm never gonna miss a day. And if I miss a day, I'm never gonna miss twice. And I say yes to tapping into the highest version of myself. Let's go. You know, there has to be some momentum of desire, of wanting something better. And the fastest way to be able to change your reality so that you don't have to do so much in your day is by connecting with your intuition, connecting with spirit. Because if you're not, you're going to have to work so freaking hard. You're gonna have to work, you're gonna have to use your intellect all day, and that's exhausting. You're missing out on your body intelligence, your your heart intelligence, your spiritual self that can hold some of it with you. It's not to say you're not gonna use your brilliant mind, but you've got to use your other intelligences now because it is so much, because
The GPS Model For Guidance
SPEAKER_01the world is so crazy, because you're constantly getting input from this device all day, right? So it's it will make you feel crazy. So the slowing down is essential, and it can start with eight minutes. It can start that simple. If it's consistent, it will work. And that is my hope for everyone listening, is just that is if you have more time and you've got an hour or two hours in the morning to like make your day yours, fantastic, right? But this is the this is the this is the the rocks that can't, um, that the big rocks in your jar that have to be there in order to be effective in the world we live in today.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I absolutely agree. And I often get my clients to uh deal with energy healing, but it's very similar, and get them to do it in the shower because that's something you've got to do. And often you you can, you know, you that's your time when nobody's talking to you, and you can just focus on that. And it's not an extra thing to do. But the other thing you were talking about as well, it's how important it is to set your intuition. You've got to focus and set and have purpose, don't you? That this is what you want to achieve before you start trying to do anything else. In energy healing, intuition is what makes energy flow. And so it's a powerful, powerful part, powerful part of the process, I think.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. I love this idea of the shower. Tell me more about that. What are you having them do in the shower?
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm very much about energy healing. I um very much believe that you know we ought to check in on our energy every day, that we need to clean and clear our energy, that it's part and parcel of what you were talking about, all aspects of ourselves, the body, the mind, but the energy as well. So I have them cleaning and clearing their energy field while they're cleaning and clearing their body.
SPEAKER_01Beautiful. That's such an important practice. I love that.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. So you work with, oh, before we go on, so you are also you offer a free assessment for spiritual heartbeat, um, don't you, for listeners if they want to contact you for that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So, and I can give you the link and you can put it in the show notes as well, if that's easier. My team can send that over. So, what we did once the book was done and was in essentially just you know going out to publication, and once it was um complete was we created a spiritual heartbeat assessment with professors at Brown University in collaboration to essentially create a free tool that people can use. And if you take the assessment and you think about your life, or you can even think about a particular issue or challenge or even opportunity that is in your space right now, and you answer the questions, it will point to the spiritual principle that is asking more of you. So it can be radical responsibility or empowerment, and then it gives you the tools of like, hey, start here. And of course, if people want more, they can come and see me. I offer small group coaching, I offer one-on-one coaching and team coaching, couples coaching, things like that. But it's just a really great starting point, just the book with the assessment. Um, there's a course as well, an online course we've created. If people want to just work on their at their own pace with the book to incorporate as well. So that's available. It's um $500 for the year or a payment plan. I'm actually offering if people cannot afford that, I'm offering it if they reach out to me just at a sliding scale because it I feel like it's just so important. But if you can pay the full amount, I'm asking, okay, great, pay it so that I can pay it, continue to pay it forward. And so there's a core, there's an online course you can take at your own pace. Essentially, with um, each session or each uh spiritual principle will have a workbook associated with it. So you can do it with the book. And it it's a really wonderful way to begin to understand these principles and how they work and how to apply them in your everyday life. Whether it's, hey, I want to be A better team member or leader. I want to be able to show up for my kids more. And I'm always distracted. And I just want to wake up happier or I want to feel like I have more purpose in my life. So sometimes when I meet people, they all say something very similar. It's a, it's, it's almost like there's a better version of me living inside of me. Can you help me find it? Is pretty much the question they're asking me, you know. And the answer is always like, yeah, you know, she's right there. Let's go, let's go step into her, you know, or step into him. And so there's there are tools here for you that are um accessible.
SPEAKER_00I like that it's a year online course as well, because I always think, you know, energy healing and doing this in in a work is not um a quick process, you know, it's not a quick fix. You have to work at it and you have to really reflect on yourself and try and identify your own blocks and where there might be an issue. And however you see that, whether you see it as blocked energy, whether you see it as a you know, some a memory that comes up. So it's good that people have that opportunity to just work at their own pace. That's nice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I do. People
The Eight Minute Stillness Practice
SPEAKER_01have been enjoying it. It's been a nice companion with the book. And even with the course, uh, there's a monthly call that you have available with me in the community as well. So people can opt in and ask questions and things like that. So there's there's an opportunity to have, you know, you don't have to have nothing on your plate to do it, you know. I have a client right now I'm working with, and he's just so amazing. And he's literally, he's reading three pages a day in the of the book. And he's like, I'm just and then really integrating whatever it was, you know, that I read. And I'm like, that's perfect. I mean, essentially he built his, he's building his own course, you know, with the book. And because of the things he's reflecting with his with his own life, and that's what we we must do. We have to make it our own. You know, the the the times of I'm gonna wait for the perfect person to tell me the perfect thing that's gonna make my life perfect is over. And maybe never was, you know, ever. It just doesn't work. And so anything you can do to say, okay, I read this book, what's the 20% of this book that's for me? I listened to this podcast, what's the one thing that I'm gonna do different from now on? You know, uh it's like how you watch a movie, even if it's something entertaining, it's like, oh, what element of an uh why did I enjoy that movie? Can I take a second to say, oh, it's because of this and that relationship and they had this in it? How can I integrate that into my own life? We are constantly getting information um of what is for us, and if we can practice the skill of discernment to know, okay, this is this is the piece that was for me, and here's how I get to practice it so it becomes a demonstration of how I live my life every day. Yeah, you're golden, you're good to go.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. So it's a way of life, that's what it is. So this um is your second book as well, isn't it? Because you've got a you've got another book out um setting out the seven principles for aligning success and inner wisdom.
SPEAKER_01So this is that is a spiritual heart. So that spiritual heartbeat book is out, by the way. So spiritual heartbeat is out now. My first book, yeah. So my first book is called Lose the Weight, Create Your Healthy State. And it's essentially a book of okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, sorry, not that mixed up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no worries. It's a book about essentially how to lose the physical, emotional, um weight that we carry around that drags us down, and so yeah, it is a it is a blueprint on how to really listen to your body intuition and to have optimal health, absolutely, on a physical level, but it's also on a level of your emotions, um, you know, the space of where where it feels like your mind is is taking over or overthinking or ruminating. How do we actually just drop the weight of life so that we can feel more powerful as leaders in the world and really just say, you know what? I am a leader, I do have something to say, I do have something to share, and I'm gonna get out of my own way to make that happen. So that that's the first, um, that was my first book. And then spiritual heartbeat is more around really talking about your spiritual intelligence. So the first book was more about body intelligence, this one's more about spiritual intelligence.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Because you have um you have an interesting mix as well, don't you? Because you have science and spirit, if you like, but you have sociology and you also have exercise science as well, which is um so you've got a lovely mix because I'm law and energy healing, which is like poles apart. But it's I'm always interested in people's, you know, qualifications and and seeing how their sort of um passions have evolved, if you like.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, yeah. So I studied sociology, I got my BA in sociology, and I got my master's in exercise science, and I'm a performance enhancement specialist. So essentially I started off working as a coach for athletes. So I was getting them ready for game day physically, emotionally, spiritually, um, get their mindset in the right space to perform at the highest level, and ended up moving into supporting more of the general public after that, and then moving into more executive level leadership. And today I work um as a leadership coach and also with high-profile individuals who are um wanting to essentially be the highest version of themselves they can be because they know the ripple effect of that, you know. So the more eyes you have on you, sometimes it's very challenging to be able to really not have an um what I call identity fragmentation, you know, everyone's projecting things at you. How do you keep your center to know and trust that intuition and know how to set those boundaries and know how to take care of yourself in a way that's going to allow you to really be be and even remember the highest version of yourself because when you can embody that huge that ripple effect when that those men that many eyes are on you. So, you know, I've been in I've been a coach since 2008. So the business has evolved, you know, all iterations since then, continue, and I'm sure will continue to do so. And it's um it I think that you know, I'm just gonna take a pause and and move it away from my story because part of the work I do with my clients as well is having people recognize that it might be helpful to know that every single thing that you have done is wanting to be expressed now. And it's usually this really fun, you know, they think like, oh, my law degree doesn't matter now because I'm an intuition, I'm an intuitive coach or something, or you know, my marketing thing is not gonna matter now that I'm stepping into manifesting coaching or something like that, or in this new business, or now I'm doing corporate, whatever they're doing. It's like, no, no, no, all of it matters, all of it was for you. How are we going to recognize that so you can use it and not discount any part of you? What is all of the genius in you? It wants to be used. Um, and so to bring everything to the table.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I love that. And so they can reach their highest potential in this life. Fabulous. And you work with leaders, both men and women, don't you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So sometimes I'll work with um businesses or firms, organizations who hire me to come in to work with their teams or help them help out with on-sites and things like that for leadership development, which I love, leadership development workshops and things like that. And then I also run a core group. So the men's core group and the women's core group, where um there's a session essentially once once a week. It's a it's
Tools And Offers You Can Use
SPEAKER_01around 10 people, and it's a small group environment where people are working through coursework, but then also at their own pace, of course, and then also getting coaching and uh for whatever it is that they're moving towards, whatever it is that they're individually working on. So that's a really beautiful intimate environment where people can get the support weekly that they're needing to just do the next thing. I think that what I've seen more and more, and why I'm, like you said, doing so much in different places is because I was I was hearing from people. I mean, this is why my business has changed changed in different iterations of it, because I'm really just listening to people and what they're asking for. And really what I'm hearing from people right now is that they want this, they want to um do transformational work, they want to, you know, say yes to their soul contract and and do yes, say yes to their soul work and find their essence and live through their essence. And it's just that it gets really lonely in a vacuum, you know? Yeah, it gets it's not easy to do. We're all really wanting support and a witness to the work, and we deserve it. We're not meant to do this in isolation. And so if you feel like you're called and on a wave to raise your level of consciousness, believe me, there are so many people out there just waiting for you to join their spaces. Um, and know that you don't, you're not meant to do it alone. It's not supposed to be okay, let me make myself all good all by myself, because it actually doesn't work. You don't have mirrors. So when you don't have mirrors for the work you're doing, and when you're not healing in community, there's incomplete healing that happens. And there's there won't be a closing of the loop with the highest um version of yourself that you can step into.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, cool. And so what do you what future projects have you got in mind? Because I know that you you work with a nonprofit, the Live Collective. Um, so is that is that something that's up and running, or is that a future project that you are looking to do?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, thanks for bringing that up. I think that that one is on the back burner. That one's on the back burner. We got some pushback for getting our nonprofit status. So we're taking a pause on that this year. Um, but we are what we're what my team and I are working on right now is essentially growing the Be Human Medicine community. So I have a podcast, it's called Be Human Medicine, and all of the things that I do kind of fall underneath that umbrella. So that's where the men's core group is. When a team or an organization hires me as their team coach or something in a from an organization, we work together through that platform. So there's a lot, and then there's just the general public who can join it too. But there's certain sectors that are hidden if you're a part of an exclusive group. But essentially growing the be human medicine community has been really fun for me. It's a project we just started last year, and what we're doing there is giving people access to things like the spiritual heartbeat assessment or the spiritual heartbeat course or these communities, like these community calls once a month. And what I'm wanting to do is make it really accessible to anyone who's on this wave that is wanting to get support. The other place that it's been fun to explore is how to bring some of these spiritual heartbeat, spiritual intelligent tools into, of course, the uh leadership world and the business world, but also in schools um and organizations that are interested in um, you know, essentially teaching wisdom, you know, it's like a essentially doing a wisdom course or what we're calling to the general public how to self-lead. Okay. How are you going to self-lead? And this is not, it doesn't have to be called spirituality if that doesn't resonate with people. But everybody, I think, can understand that in order to be a better uh to be a great leader, you have to first know how to self-lead.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And so those tools are the same. And so bringing this into, of course, businesses and into schools and organizations has been something we're starting to do, which we're really excited to be launching this year as well.
SPEAKER_00I love that. I just I would love to see energy healing and all these concepts about how you can reach your highest potential in primary schools and and above. I think that's so essential. It would be amazing, wouldn't it?
SPEAKER_01I mean, we've done it with uh social emotional learning, you know. My kid has like a, you know, we've done this with the emotional intelligence movement. That's happened over the last 20 years. People know that they have an emotional self and they talk about their emotions now, which that wasn't happening that long, you know, that long ago. That was definitely not in in schools. So social and emotional learning is in schools now. I do think the next level of of development is going to be teaching what we can call self-leadership skills, which essentially knowing that you have wisdom inside of you and you have to learn how to access it. And if you don't, it's gonna be very hard to be resilient in the ever-changing uncertain landscape that we are in right now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And also tools to prevent burnout and to nurture your nervous system and you know, and be able to self-monitor that and all of that.
SPEAKER_01They're talking my language, all of that. Yeah, I'm like chills. I'm like, yes, yes, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_00All
Self Leadership For Work And Schools
SPEAKER_00that energetic intelligence, that's what yeah.
SPEAKER_01And somebody asked me recently, a friend asked me, he's like, Well, do you think that schools are in charge of doing that? And I'm like, Yeah, if you're gonna drop off your kid from eight to three every day, yeah, somewhere, yeah, it just as important it is to teach them how to get be, you know, social emotional learning. We definitely need to be teaching that in schools now. It is the elevation of what has to happen. And so I don't think that in the current model of how we've set up education, it it it can be relied on for just the parents to do. That is way too much to ask of parents. That is setting everybody up for failure. And not to say that parents can't also help, just like they help out with their homework and just how they help out with the social emotional skills and all of that, and they're reading the books. And of course, of course, parents are gonna, parents are always doing an amazing job. Nobody needs to be dissing the parents, you know. We are we are the rock stars of the world, like we are doing our best. There's no one there just like sitting back that I've met, you know, like, oh, I'm gonna just audit this um this parenting thing. So I do think that in the current model, if if we're keeping this current model where we're sending our kids to get educated outside the home, then absolutely that is part of the essential education so that they can handle and know resiliency, know how to deal with their nervous system, know how their nervous system responds when they're triggered or they're feeling scared, or all of these things are essential. And giving people the tools to recognize that they can self-resource, they can actually learn how to resource self and not have to um be relying on external external factors to validate their existence, to validate their safety, to validate that they're loved. And that is gonna be essential for what's to come.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, definitely. Oh, that's that's all fascinating. Um let me ask you one last thing. Um so what do you do every day? I ask most of my guests this what do you do every day? Um, one thing that you do that really helps you stay balanced and centered and um feeling good in yourself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, first I'll say that what I do is I make sure I recognize what season of life I'm in, because that is something to be honored. So sometimes it's spring, sometimes it's summer, sometimes it's winter, okay, and sometimes it's fall. Right. And we want to really recognize I do do tune into that. You know, what season of life am I in? And can I honor the season? And I want to I want to say that first, okay. This the second thing that I think is something I do every day is actually something I just uh has have been sharing throughout this podcast, is no matter what, I am taking eight minutes a day to tune into wisdom, to tune into saying, I am I am here, I am listening, and what is the wisdom you have to share with me today? To my body, to my emotional self, to really to any parts or aspects of self that come up. You know, if I'm in my perfectionism, I'm like, hey, I hear you, perfectionism. What do you need from me today? You know, it can be also just around, you know, oh hey, irritation, hey frustration. I'm here, I'm listening. Let's go ahead and have a conversation here. So there's an opportunity to just meet yourself every single day. And another check I do while I'm doing this is just to see if there's anything in my language or my thinking that is in a to me or by me state of consciousness. So where is my language like, oh, another day, or like, oh, I can't believe that happened to me, or God, I gotta get, I gotta get this done in order to get this happening. So that's like a by me state. Like, where is my language in this by it has to happen by me, or oh, this is happening to me, and really cleaning up the language in that first hour of the morning to say, hold on, oop, catching that, catching that. Okay, this is where we get to this is the powerful zone I want to really be in today, and not as a bypass. I can honor whatever emotion I'm having in that eight minutes of stillness, and sometimes it's more, sometimes I have a lot of time and I'll go and chill in my little happy, cozy corner over there and have my time. But no matter what, there's eight minutes. And sometimes it's 20, sometimes it's two hours. Like this morning, I had a whole morning by myself, so I had a nice long two-hour, you know, time to just be be in my space. But sometimes that doesn't happen. No, but I can I can I can stay with those eight minutes today. The power of eight minutes is what I have found really incredible. The number eight on its side is the infinity symbol. And what I found that if you can sit for eight minutes, it's actually like you've sat for the for infinity. You can tune into that aspect of boom, it's happened, like boom, I've got what I need. Um, you know, I as I shared, I worked in the personal development, uh, sorry, the personal fitness space for a long time. And, you know, when I'm training a bunch, a group of people, you know, they come in and they're like athletes are, you know, they're tired, they don't want to work out, or even just the general public. They're like, oh, I'm here at 6 a.m.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01And after 20 years of working with people and moving, helping them move their bodies, it's so fascinating the shift that happens within eight minutes. It's like the warm-up period, you know, and you can almost feel it in the room. Like, oh, I'm there, everyone's just like, oh, I'm so happy. I'm I remembered me. Like I remember this is a good idea, like I can feel my strength, I feel my power now. And it usually takes eight minutes to feel to feel that. So this is part of where that um philosophy comes from, just essentially my my work as doing in you know, exercise and fitness, and then as well as my work in the spirit, um, in the spirit world as well, and just tapping into what's actually going to help people. And when people are able to do this consistently, and I share this with clients. I mean, now I've worked with hundreds of people, thousands of people at this point. It's like, wow, that really does work. I'm like, yeah, it's kind of cool. So just experiment for for yourself, see if it's helpful, you know, spend it, spend you know, 20 days, don't miss a day, and see what shifts. And then imagine if you do that for for the next 20 years of your life. You know,
Daily Rituals And Closing Thoughts
SPEAKER_01how would that be different? How would that make your life different?
SPEAKER_00And everybody can find eight minutes as well. So I I think that's great. I resonate with the language. I'm always telling people to watch what they're watch the words they use because that's energetic. That's that's the energy that you're sending out and you're listening to as well. So I get that as well. Amazing. Thank you so much, Olivia, for coming on. I've really enjoyed chatting to you and hearing about all your projects.
