Another Dr. Jones – Creating Good, Achievable, Meaningful Goals

Consultant and Dentist Duo; Practice Problems Season 3 Episode 14

Bethany embarks on her second “rendezvous and record” session! This time, she is back in Arkansas with her dad, Dr. Jones! At 72 years young, Dr. Jones definitely has plenty of excellent advice regarding building good quality goals. In this episode, he encourages listeners to set reasonable and attainable goals but also goals that push you in an area where you need to grow. According to Dr. Jones, many individuals don’t actually set goals. Instead, they have dreams without action. A true goal requires reflecting on WHY it is a goal and also ensuring that achieving the goal would have a positive impact on self and others. Finally, a goal requires a thorough and detailed “action plan.” The best goals require the goal-setter to begin making changes right away, and the process of achieving goals should change the goal-setter for the better. Get ready to be inspired! This episode is stocked full of great tips for reflecting and making clear, achievable, and impactful goals. Enjoy!
