The Red Pill Journey: Why Opening Your Mind Means Facing Difficult Truths

The mind is like a parachute—it works best when it's open. In this powerful exploration of healing and truth, Theresa Marie takes us on her transformative journey through Florida where she discovered life-changing healing modalities that challenged her understanding of wellness and recovery.

Theresa vividly recounts her first experiences with orthobionomy, which left her so deeply relaxed she needed "two walks around the block to fully come back to her body," traditional acupuncture that focused on earlobe points rather than turning her into a "porcupine," and the 5,000-year-old Enneagram system that revealed profound truths about her personality patterns. Perhaps most surprising was her encounter with art therapy, where simple finger painting unlocked a well of joy she didn't know was blocked.

But opening your mind isn't always comfortable. Theresa courageously shares her struggle with confronting painful truths—what she calls "red pills"—that challenged her long-held beliefs. With raw vulnerability, she reveals how she found herself repeating the same pattern of being "duped" four times over forty years despite her spiritual awareness. The most powerful lesson? No external source can provide ultimate truth; we must learn to trust our own intuition. "When you repeatedly ignore your own intuition and believe voices outside yourself, you begin to betray yourself," she explains.

Whether you're curious about ancient healing practices or navigating your own journey of discernment, this episode offers both practical wisdom and emotional resonance. Your mind will always believe what you tell it—are you feeding it truth or comfortable illusions? Join Theresa in exploring how opening our minds can free us from limiting patterns while staying anchored in our own inner knowing.

Speaker 1:

When you open your mind, you open new doors to new possibilities for yourself and new opportunities to help others. Welcome back, welcome back to Free To Just Be, the podcast empowering humanity to courageously step out of old patterns and programs and give a big old hug to a new way of being. And I hope this finds you in the greatest of health, with vibrant energy today, because you have chosen to accept full responsibility for your body, mind and soul responsibility for your body, mind and soul. Here myself, teresa Marie, the traveling ambassador of Chi, will try to inspire you to truly be who you came here to be, and it starts by being authentic and transparent and vulnerable, which then allows you to be free and align with your highest potential. So won't you join me today, on an Open your Mind Monday, on this transformative journey to rewrite our narratives and live lives of purpose and passion? Woohoo, yes, it is an Open your Mind Monday and it's going to be a little bit different. Today, I'm going to talk about sometimes how opening your mind is a difficult thing to do. You know, life in itself is difficult, and this is a great truth, one of the greatest truths of all, really, because once we discover truth, be it good or bad. We then transcend it, right, we rise above it and I tell you, as you are navigating away from the matrix merry-go-round, it is often very daunting, very daunting, to look at truth. Well, opening your mind, it's not only necessary to exit the matrix, but sometimes those red pills are so bitter you want to avoid them at all cost. So today, on Open your Mind Monday, I'm going to first share, on the first part of the podcast, some very new and exciting truths that I opened my mind to while I was in Florida, and then, on the tail end of the show, I'm going to share some of the bitter truths that even now I'm still struggling to swallow. Okay, so first I want to share with you some of the awesome things that are now available to us in the world of.

Speaker 1:

Some people will call it alternative medicine. It's really not alternative. It really is medicine that's been around for eons and now it's coming to the forefront. Many people are realizing that the new medicine coming out is much more beneficial to us than the old way of thinking the medical matrix, for example, right. So while I was in Florida, I had the honor and the privilege of working with some of these healers and I want to highlight some of them today. The first one I want to speak about, and the first modality I want to speak about, is orthobionomy, and I want to showcase Kathy Kornicki, who lives in Orange Park in Florida, and Kathy has been a practitioner of this particular modality of orthobionomy for many years and she teaches it as well.

Speaker 1:

And what is orthobionomy? It's a gentle, non-evasive body work focusing on relieving pain and restoring natural alignment through subtle movements and body awareness. And having had the privilege of allowing Kathy Konecki to work on my body, it was an incredible experience. It took me two walks around the block to actually fully come back into my body because it was such an incredible experience. From the moment she touched my foot just one foot I have never felt so incredibly relaxed and at ease in probably my whole life. And when I asked her, I said man, what just happened? And she just smiled at me and said well, I was hoping you return to your essence. And, man, what an incredible place of bliss that was. And then she also looked at me and said boy, you have been on a long journey and I highly suggest you come back for more sessions. Now I would have to travel back to Florida, but if you're in Northern Florida and live anywhere near Kathy Krenicki, please go and visit her, and if you've never had an orthobionomy session, it is an incredible practice that I highly recommend that you try. Find a practitioner near you and in the show notes I will offer a some links for orthobionomy.

Speaker 1:

The second practice that I want to mention that I'd never done before was from Dr Jeannie Grace, who works out of Melbourne, florida, and she is a traditional acupuncture and integrative oriental medicine provider who has been practicing for over 30 years and she supports holistic healing, pain management and balance of the body's energy systems. And, having never done acupuncture before, I was so pleasantly surprised. I think. If you've never done acupuncture, maybe you had thoughts, like I did, that there would be needles that hurt all throughout your body and you would look like a porcupine, and it was nothing like that. There are specific points on your earlobe and that's all she did was focus on my earlobe after asking me very important questions about my health and wellness. She spent a lot of time doing that on the front end and it was also an incredible experience of rest and relaxation and learning more about my own body, my own chakras, my own energy system. It was very, very incredible to work with Dr Jeannie Grace, and you will really enjoy her practice and I'm going to leave her link as well at the end of my show notes.

Speaker 1:

Then there was Sandra Finlay oh my goodness, she did empowerment coaching and I continue to work with Sandra, or Sandy as I call her, and she has guided empowerment coaching sessions aimed at helping her clients to overcome obstacles, set meaningful goals and unlock their personal potential. One of the things that she is teaching me about is the 5,000-year-old Enneagrams, and if you've never done Enneagram coaching and have opened your mind, this is what Open your Mind Monday is all about is opening your mind to new things, which, by the way, that is one of those matrix programs that really keep us from different things that we've never experienced, and that is that program that says change is bad, stay in your comfort zone, stay in your lane, new things are dangerous, you don't ever want to go into the new, and that, of course, is a program to keep you from growing. Of course, is a program to keep you from growing, keep you from becoming your best self, and Enneagrams have been around for 5,000 years and, my goodness, when I discovered my own Enneagram and recognized so fully how true it was and how helpful it is to know your high points and your low points within that Enneagram. So I'm going to leave a link not only to Sandy Finlay, but a link about the Enneagrams, where you can take your own test and begin to explore Enneagrams on your own. Now Sandra also works with some incredible healers as well.

Speaker 1:

Soleil Soleil was one who does soul empowerment coaching and I had the privilege of doing her art therapy, which was very, very cool. I didn't realize how much of a blockage to my joy I was experiencing when I sat down with Soleil and after sitting and talking with me for a while, she said you know what, teresa? I think that we should paint. And I was like paint To me, that's not my. I was like paint To me, that's not my creative modality. I am more a speaker, a writer. Communication gifts are more my thing. And it's interesting that she said painting, because for the last couple of years I've been thinking that, wow, I really would like to explore paint. I don't know what it is about paint, but ever since I've been painting with some of my grandkids over the years, I just really enjoy it and I've never really explored it for myself.

Speaker 1:

So she sat me down and she put paper in front of me and all these beautiful bottles of paint, little tiny bottles that you squeeze, and I was kind of curious. And she said are you ready? And there were no brushes or anything, there was just a sponge with some water in a bowl. And she says we're going to use our fingers. And I thought, oh, ok, finger painting. Well, this is interesting.

Speaker 1:

And at first, you know, I was a little bit unsure. And at first, you know, I was a little bit unsure, but it didn't take but five minutes. When I was having so much fun, I felt like this little kid in me was unleashed. And as I began squirting paint on the page and beginning to spread it with my fingers, this creative portal in me kind of opened fingers. This creative portal in me kind of opened and granted the picture which I still have and I have posted over one of my altars of remembrance. It's not a quote-unquote work of art, but it is to me, because what came out of that one-hour session was this incredible joy was unlocked that I hadn't experienced in several weeks and I didn't even know it was blocked and it was a beautiful session and I was so grateful to Soleil Soleil for taking me through that art therapy. So what she does is soul-centered coaching and it's designed to connect clients with their own inner wisdom and foster self-empowerment and support folks' spiritual development. And I definitely experienced a shift in my own energy field while I explored with Soleil, so I will leave Soleil's information at the end of my show notes today too. And then there's Lily Arnold, who is a Reiki and empowerment coach, and she offers healing sessions that combine Reiki, energy work and empowerment coaching, promoting relaxation, emotional balance and personal growth. Now, I did not have the opportunity to work directly with Lily, but I had opportunity several times in Florida to be in her presence in her beautiful shiny chi and energy, and she has so much love and kindness. She's oh my goodness, her energy is one of love and kindness, and I highly suggest that if you've never done Reiki or empowerment coaching and you live in the Florida area, that you go and hook up with Lily Arnold, and I will leave her information as well at the end of my show notes.

Speaker 1:

So many, many great lessons came out of Florida and I believe that working with these incredible healers was probably the main reason that the Spirit guided me so forcefully. I almost felt like I had to get there. I had to get there, I had to get there and I didn't really know why Part of me was thinking it was to help open a wellness center. But in retrospect now I believe it was more about reaching and opening my mind to these different modalities of healing that, quite frankly, I had never really ventured into, and that was an incredible experience of learning, and it has definitely opened not only my mind but my heart and spirit to all the newness that's coming in with the entrance of new medicine and, as we see, the medical matrix continue to be dismantled. I want you to be aware that Sandra Finlay is bringing to the forefront many new systems that are going to replace the old matrix systems, and she's designed them with the nine wisdoms, the nine truths of God and eventually, as the matrix continues to unravel, as the matrix continues to unravel, those of us that are aware and that have been called to do such things will literally be putting in place these systems that will replace the matrix as we know it. So look to the future for the name Sandra Finley. I think that you're going to find her name in our future systems going forward.

Speaker 1:

So now I want to turn to the other side, the other side of the coin of life being difficult at times, and how often, oh my goodness, you unfortunately, when you open the windows of your mind and you allow, because you see, nothing can come in and nothing can leave your lips unless you allow it right. But if you want to allow new truth and new light and fresh air to enter, you also have to be willing to open your mind to not only new truth, but to truth that may have been erroneous and that you were not aware of until all of a sudden, that truth comes knocking at the door of your mind and your heart and you have to decide. Are you going to prefer the gentle lies to hard truth? Are you going to keep your mind open so that, oh my goodness, that you can hear the voice of truth?

Speaker 1:

You know, sometimes our mind will believe comforting lies, because knowing the truth is painful and we hold on to things that we thought were true, because sometimes those red pills and the reminder of what a red pill is, it's those truths that kick you in the stomach. It's remember the Matrix, the movie, and it was the red or the blue. You know, you can. You can hold on to the blue and just live in ignorance. And you know, um, unfortunately, the longer you hold on to ignorance, um, the the longer the blindness will stay. And it's when you finally open your mind to the recognition that the truth doesn't cost anything. What it costs us is ingesting that red pill and tasting its bitterness. Sometimes truth is very hard to swallow, tasting its bitterness. Sometimes truth is very hard to swallow and it is uncomfortable and it tastes bitter and it has to settle in your stomach and your stomach. Oh, some of the truths you want to just literally throw up. But living a lie could literally cost you everything. So we all have choices to make, and some of those choices require us to look full face into things that we believed in that unfortunately, really were in error. And that's when the red pill it's, oh, it is so hard to take.

Speaker 1:

I recall way back in the day when I first started Free To Just Be the podcast and I shared about how my first red pill was about chemtrails and how I couldn't believe that it could possibly be true and that one truth that I didn't believe. I was incredulous. It was like there's no way that there could be chemtrails. Why would anybody rain poison down us? Well, that opened up a whole nother world of truths, and my life has never been the same since I opened my mind to the possibility that I may have been in error, and it took me down a whole eight-year trek through finding the truth and going through many, many programs, and many of them were very difficult and many of them left me in the fetal position.

Speaker 1:

And recent months, especially in Florida, caused me to see some truths that I have been holding back I did not want to look at, and often we don't want to look at truths because then we have to admit that our ego was in play. We held on to lies because we did not want to admit that we were duped, that we accepted and allowed certain beliefs to come into our field, and we were like, oh my God, no, it can't be. It can't be that I believe this lie again, because some of the lies that we have in our matrix merry-go-round are ones that we do over and over again. Thus the walking around the mountains like the Israelites did, right, well, that's where I found myself coming out of Florida.

Speaker 1:

I did not want to believe some of what I could not deny anymore, and one of those truths is that nobody is going to pour truth into your brain. And, believe me, we want to hear truth, we want to find people that give us the answers, but the truth of the matter is truth is something you have to find out for yourself. Nobody, nobody, can find it for you, and often the very places that we go to use very insidious words that attract you to them. For example, think for yourself and you're like wow, nobody ever said that before. Wow, this needs to take my attention. Think for yourself when you're coming out of the matrix.

Speaker 1:

There are key things that we look for. We want so much to believe other people, but let me tell you the hard truth is that when you continually look to others to find truth for you, you will often be duped. You will often be thrust into yet another program, because when you repeatedly ignore your own intuition and believe voices outside of yourself, you begin to betray yourself. And that is the biggest lesson that I learned in Florida to never, ever, ever doubt my intuition, my spidey senses, my inner knowingness. Now I have taught for over two years now on this podcast that we are love and light and that all the answers are inside, and I stand completely on that truth. That is the absolute truth. We are sparks of God and all the answers are literally inside of us. We do not need dogma, religion, gurus outside, teachers and books and programs. They all help. But ultimately we have to put everything through the grid of our own knowingness, because our eyes see only what our mind is prepared to comprehend, and this deprogramming from the matrix is a process, and our minds can only ascertain what we're ready to receive.

Speaker 1:

I, yes, I had been duped again and it has been an incredibly hard red pill for me to take. But you know what? It's pretty amazing to stop and recognize that every lesson that I have learned has prepared me to come behind this mic. Now. I've shared for years that I don't share anything that isn't downloaded to me by God. I pray and I walk and then I'm given what I'm supposed to share and then, of course, you know, I'll go to quotes to help me bring it into fruition.

Speaker 1:

But, in other words, the truths that I learn, I have to learn them experientially, unfortunately, and that's what we all do. We all learn by walking through something, and then we, if we've learned the lesson, then we won't have to go through that lesson again. And unfortunately for me and fortunately for you, I'm a headbanger and some of the biggest lessons that I have gone through I've had to go through the same lesson three or four times, and that, unfortunately, was the case for me in Florida. I am on my fourth round of this lesson and as I begin to unpack some of those lessons, you will understand why it's been so hard for me to admit that. Oh my God, four times, four times, no.

Speaker 1:

So see, I've been in denial for four years now because some of the things that I saw four years ago, I just was unwilling, I was just like, no, there's no way that I was taken for the same ride again. But I'm very grateful to begin unpacking these truths to you, because I did open my mind to new doors, to new possibilities for myself, because these lessons that I walked away from Florida are now becoming opportunities to help others, Because some of these lessons were so hard and there's so much of this out there that now, to be able to share them, I might be able to help thousands of people avoid the same thing. So I hope you'll stick with me as I unpack and reveal some of these deceptions that I have been under and help you avoid some of the lessons that I had to go through four times in the last 40 years. It's like, oh my gosh, every five or 10 years I had to learn it again and again, and I hope to shout that I got that lesson so well now that not only can I reveal it to you, but together we can avoid it.

Speaker 1:

So, on this walk away oh no, it's not a walk away Monday, it's an open your mind Monday I want you to keep in mind, to keep an open mind. It's the only way new things will get into your mind, because your mind will always believe everything that you tell it. So I hope you're feeding it, hope that you're feeding it love and you're feeding it truth, because that's the only way, together, we're going to walk away from all these matrix programs, and some of them are so profoundly, profoundly insidious and are wrapped in such goodness that you and I can easily be duped, especially those of us that want so much to shine for God and so much to help others. We have to hold each other up and avoid some of these erroneous beliefs. So I hope you have a magnificent Monday and I hope you join me tomorrow for the next installment of Free To Just Be Peace out.
