Honoring Yourself to Heal Humanity
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if the most generous thing you can do for the world is honor yourself first? We take you into a raw, practical journey through authenticity—gratitude for the body you wake up in, reclamation of free will in the face of cultural conditioning, and the kind of boundaries that heal rather than harden. Along the way, we share personal stories of setting firm lines in marriage, respecting the hard “no” from loved ones, and discovering how service flows more cleanly when it rises from self-respect and spiritual alignment.
We unpack why gratitude is more than a mood boost; it’s a nervous system reset that restores clarity and opens a channel to your inner voice. From the trap of perfection and comparison to the quiet courage of choosing sleep over scrolling, nourishment over numbing, and truth over approval, this conversation makes spirituality tangible. We explore the sacred law of free will and how real help always honors consent, timing, and the dignity of the person in front of you. Contribution replaces consumption as the path to meaning, echoing a simple truth: happiness grows when we help others find it.

So join me on this transformative awakening journey to rewrite our narratives and live lives of purpose and passion. And yes, it is a terrific Thursday morning here in Middle Tennessee. It's a beautiful day. We're getting, I don't know which particular summer this is. There's lots of different old wives' tales summers. The almanac talks about them, Blackberry and all these different summers, because here it is the second day of October already. And we are fixing on having another day in the high 80s. Thus, the you know, the continuation of summer um goes through the farmer's almanac. And uh we're we're continuing the series that we began earlier this week regarding authenticity. So we have our acrostic with authenticity going vertically, and we have come through the A of appreciating our divinity, the U. We talked about unlocking our inner child. T was for trusting our inner voice, our intuition, our spidey sense. And today we're going to talk about a very cool um, it's it's kind of as you give it, you receive it. As you receive it, you get it. It it's just it's just an amazing uh tool and way to live, and that is helping humanity by honoring yourself. So how can honoring ourselves help with humanity and with learning how to be more authentic? Well, when we honor ourselves, when we open our hearts to who we truly are, that that's the first the first part of this awakening journey, right? You you recognize wow, somebody else has been directing my life, and you're like, I didn't choose this, I don't want this, I don't like that, right? This this is the red pill experience, and that is the first wake-up call, and you begin to help yourself out of that proverbial box or off the proverbial matrix merry-go-round, right? And that is the the first, that's the beginning step of honoring yourself. And we've talked about how um the first thing that we need to learn to love is creation itself. And uh the sages of old have talked about how um humankind, human beings, that's that's us humanity, Bill, um, would do well to learn how to honor plants first and get real familiar with plants, and then step up and and honor animals, and then finally we can learn how to deal with human beings. Well, that is kind of like the evolution of the soul as well, because the first part of creation that we need to learn to love, which is completely covered up by webs of unconsciousness, is ourself. We are an incredible created being, fearfully and wonderfully made by God. There is nobody like us ever. There's only one of each of us humanity, and each of us has these unique qualities that we need to actually look at and appreciate and be grateful for. Because you see, the matrix gets us set up um towards perfection, that we we have to be X, Y, Z, and and the way to get there is is through ABC and all of this bullshit. And the truth of the matter is, right where you sit right now, wherever you are on your journey, young, old, sick, in vibrant health, um rich beyond measure or you know, struggling to just survive, wherever you are right now, you are already perfection. You were created as a spark of the living God, you were created in his image, and everything about you should be something that we applaud and that we thank thank our creator for and that we appreciate. Just go with me here for a minute. How many of us actually wake up and are thankful for the breath in our lungs or for the fact that we can see when our eyes open? I tell you, visiting my mother-in-law this summer really was a wake-up call for me in regards to vision. How often we just take our sight for granted. And then I had that one day as I was switching from sugar burning to fat burning where my eyes were a little bit wanky. And again, I I I already shared in a former episode that it kind of freaked me out. And then I stopped and and really thought about how grateful I am that I can see my husband's face, that I can see the clouds in the sky, that I can see my children and grandbabies, right? We really need to step back and maybe even just take a whole day of appreciation for who we literally are in this human vessel. And then to further expand it and recognize that this vessel, ooh, now this is one where people start really pushing back, and they're like, Well, you know, this is something to explore. Here's another opportunity to resurrect Inquisition Humanityville. If you don't agree, then do some research yourself. But I I kind of believe that we are literally in vessels that we chose. When we chose to come on the planet, oh, you chose God created you. Well, yes, I do believe He created me, but I also believe that I had the opportunity to say, I want to come down on this big, beautiful planet at this time to be the love and light that the planet needs at this time. And I chose my parents, I chose the body that I'm in, and I, you know, for years I looked at it and thought, oh my God, I want to, I do not want these American thighs. Why do why do I have thin hair? Because my mom did. Why why are my eyes blue and not brown? Why can't I tan like other people? All of the think about it. We compare ourselves to what? What we compare ourselves with, Humanityville, is the template given to us by our controllers. The matrix, the the they, the proverbial quote-unquote they. Who are they? Well, they are those that want to literally rule the world, and they want to keep us completely distracted and never ever connect back with God. And the first part of connecting with God is recognizing the miracle that we ourselves are. So mayhaps as the weekend is coming upon us, you can, on your day off, just lay in bed for a few minutes and recognize the awesome miracle that this body that your love and light, your pure energy is housed in right now. Think about the heart pumping and you're not doing anything to help it. How your lungs breathe themselves, how if you consciously breathe and you literally take deep breaths in through your nose and let them out through your mouth, that sets up a whole nother process. But yet we don't have to consciously think about it. Think about your fingers and all your hands and feet do for you. How many miles your feet have walked the planet for you. Think about the strength of your thighs and your biceps. Think about your skin and how it protects the whole package. We are incredibly and fearfully made by this loving creator that knew exactly what we would need to live on planet Earth and to go through this incredible earth school that we're experiencing. And so when we awaken to the miracle that we are, and we begin to honor ourselves, and now we enter into the free will aspect of that. You start recognizing that there are all these false beliefs that were thrown at you and all the propaganda, and we're not going to go through the whole matrix thing. We already know that as free to just beers, right? We know what we're trying to exit, and we know the freedom that we see. And some of us feel like it's so far off, but it's really not. Freedom begins by that free will choice that you get to make every single day. The first choice of opening your eyes and being grateful for your sight, or waking up and saying, Oh God, another day. Everything is a choice, humanity, right? So how does honoring ourselves and our choices help others? Well, helping others is not just acts of nobility. No, it's literally reflecting back our own humanity. It is the Matthew 712 concept. Do to others what you want done to you. Because we're all in this together. Just like um the song my husband and I are going to discuss here real soon. It's uh we're all passengers on this this incredible ship, right? And we're just passing through this planet, and our job is to just bring a little more love and light to each other, to shine, so that the rest of the world can wake up and we can all begin to shine together and exit this matrix, right? So Napoleon Hill stated it well when he quoted as saying, happiness may be found only by helping others to find it. Now I want you to think th go on this track with me. Think about how many stars, rock stars, or movie stars that have obtained it all financially. They've gained fame and and they can't go anywhere without being mobbed, and they they have the ability to do whatever it is they want because financially there's no hold bars. And what do they do? They end up desiring to what? Give back to others. I I just I can't help but think of Eminem and you know the the entire life of one dark night of the soul after the other for this young man, and how he used his angst and his anger to fuel his creativity until the day what? Until he met his creator, and suddenly he recognized all he went through and all the miraculous way that God carried him. And now what does he do? He takes that particular glory, that revelation of his soul, that reconnection with his creator, which by the way, we're all connected, but that pathway to the direct line of God, that is our job to uncover because it's covered up with all that unconscious matrix merry-go-round behavior, right? But when he came to that knowledge, now he turns around and his music is helping others to discover that. I think of Tony Robbins, who as a child was absolutely appalled at his dad's behavior when somebody came to their door because they didn't have anything but peanut butter and crackers, and it was freaking Thanksgiving weekend. And somebody came with this incredible blessing of not only a Thanksgiving meal, but groceries that would fill their pantry and refrigerator. And the dad was so proud that three times he tried to slam the door on this gentleman trying to bless him, until finally the guy shoved his foot in the door and said, Please let go of your pride for this little boy to have a full stomach on Thanksgiving. And that so profoundly affected Tony Robbins that I don't know what the figure is now. It's something ridiculous like 300 billion meals that he has served hungry people. That is what happens when we help others because it reflects back to our very own humanness. Humanness that says, I just want to be loved and accepted, and I want to feel safe, and I want to have my needs met. All of us have these same human qualities, and many of us are not experiencing those. Many of us are so covered up with the false belief that they are less than, that they are not worthy, that they can't be accepted, that I'm always going to be rejected. And that is when those of us that are a little bit more awakened, that have a little bit stronger connection with God, because we have worked towards getting there. We've uncovered some of that incredible unconsciousness and are now conscious to the fact that wow, it isn't a crime to say, well done to yourself. It isn't a crime to eat well and fuel your body correctly. It isn't a crime to walk away from all those self-harming ways, the alcohol, the nicotine, the staying up hours and scrolling and all the things that were harming us, all the distractions. So when we awaken to what these things are doing to us, then it's human nature to want to turn around and now contribute. And I've talked again, ag nauseum, um, in in former episodes about how what I believe is one of the biggest missing factors in Humanityville right now is the desire for contribution. Because you see, you cannot just go through life taking and taking and taking and and expecting everything to be you know given to you and and assuming that you know you're the only one on the planet, and and as long as your uh life is operating well and you have everything you need and more than enough, and you have all these toys that you have no time to even play with, that's all that matters. I go back to the people who win the lottery or the people that have their claim to fame. That becomes old, folks. There's more to life than just getting. Without contribution, you begin to shrivel up and die. You end up like an old miser, like the guy, um, I can't remember his name, um, you know, uh the the Christmas guy, the Christmas Carol guy. I'm sorry. This is why the show is free to just be, because I can flub up and who cares? I am free to be just exactly who I am. So thinking again about how we are able to help humanity by honoring ourselves, you know, um, as we grow older, we finally, as Audre Hepburn so eloquently shared in a quote from long ago, we discover that we have two hands. One for helping ourselves, because obviously, you know, you become a grown-ass adult and and you should not expect others to do for you. You have to help yourself, right? But then as you get older especially, you realize that there's another hand, and that hand is indeed the one for helping others. And so the Albert Schweischer also said, which just perfectly correlates with what we're talking about on today's topic, the purpose of human life is to serve and to show compassion and the will to help others. That's what our creator did when he sent his son to walk the planet for 33 years. The last three specifically to show us how to do it. And oh baby, did he do it? He was a radical in every way. Why? Because the religious world was like you're touching that leopard, you're you're helping a woman who was caught in adultery. Oh my god. Because you see, Christ showed us the value that we all have, and that takes us back to what? We have to first honor ourselves. You you can't honor somebody if you don't even know what honor is. You can't respect somebody if you don't have self-respect. So it it becomes this wonderful, beautiful conduit. I help myself in order to help others. Then somebody helps me, and I'm helped. And it continues on and on and on. So to go back to the quote by human angels, which is so beautiful that it's a quote by human angels. I'd love to. There it is again. Do your research. Uh resurrect Inquisition. What are human angels? Is it a group? And somebody drop the comment. Somebody figure out who human angels are and let me know. I would love that. But they said help others while respecting the sacred law of free will. By recognizing and honoring God in others, we recognize and honor God within ourselves. And oh baby, that that comes right back. My whole fist is pointing to my to my heart right now. Because part of that respecting the sacred law of free will is just that. We have to learn how to respect others that are on the waking path as well. Yes, that includes those that are still with their heads like ostriches in the sand, and they are letting themselves literally be being raped by the system. They're believing all the propaganda. They are going to be probably the last ones to get free of it because they find it much easier to keep their head in the sand and not be brave enough to look the Matrix in the face and say, you know what? I'm not going to take it anymore. And every step along the way has to be respected. And the reason I say that my hands pointing to my own heart is because I have a couple of my own children, several of them, in fact, that have said, you know what, we're stepping away from this family. I need to separate. And guess what? I have chosen to honor and respect their boundaries. Why? Because I did the same damn thing. Some 20 years ago, when I pointed the finger at my mom and dad and said you were the problem. It's because of this. It's because I didn't feel loved enough. It's it's because it's because everything that wasn't given to me from you as parents. And you know what? All of that is true. However, my parents were humans too. And maybe they didn't know what they were doing. And how can I say that now? Well, because of the dang fact that I am a parent of grown children, and I know full well the mistakes that I made. But I did the best I could at the time, knowing what I did just like my parents did, and just like my parents' parents did. And I am now speaking before you on behalf of all of us chainbreakers, all of us that have shirts that say, it ran in my family until it ran into me, like I wear. And the recognition that if I want my grandchildren, my youngest two, beautiful Sailor Blue and Ileah, to grow up in a world where free will is honored and we give respect to each other, well then I had dang well better lead out with it. And I better say, you know what, sons and daughters, if you need space to grow and discover who you are and the awesomeness that you are, and right now I am part of your victimhood because you haven't recognized yet that that's a victim mentality, and yes, mistakes were given and done and received by you, but you have to decide that that is no longer who you are. And part of that is setting up those boundaries and saying, you know what, I'm not going to be treated this way anymore. Why is this so fond to my heart? Why do I feel I can speak about this? Because I have the experiential knowledge. I had the incredible, painful decision to make now two years ago. Yeah, it's literally been over two years ago because it was the last week of September, two years ago, that I stood up from my kitchen table, having just come back. I hadn't even unpacked my bag from a trip. And I walked in the door from the airport, and my husband was doing his yip, yip, yip, yip, yip, and it was negative, negative, negative. And I had taken many, many, many years, well over a decade, of his narcissistic tendencies, which I now recognize with tenderness and compassion, were nothing more than his porcupine barbs of protection because that was how he dealt with his childhood traumas. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, we're gonna break down that whole little system that so many marriages are broken up from. But I had to choose to not be treated the way I was being treated and go against what the norms of society say and what the religious say and how divorce is wrong, and and you know, you should you should stay. And and I never for a moment thought I was gonna leave my marriage, but I was gonna leave the atmosphere and the attitude that I continued to get. And thankfully I listened to the Holy Spirit because now my husband and I are growing like weeds solely in our individual expansion and growth as humans and as awakened individuals, and it's an incredible journey growing together as a couple on this awakening journey. But you see, I had to finally honor myself enough to say to my husband, I'm not taking this anymore. You have to stop projecting your shit on me, and you have to look at your own stuff. And what did that do to my husband? One day I believe he's gonna share it, but I know that he had to spend an entire year, an entire year of a dark night of the soul. A year of anger and kicking walls in the holes in the wall and and sending horrible messages to me, and I've had to cut him off. And he had to be by himself in solitude. Oh yes, I'm sp speaking to the one that is deathly afraid of being alone. Why? Because they don't want to hear the voices in their head. Because they get real loud, and then you have no choice but to face them one by one. And that doesn't come easy. Oh no. First we want to inebriate them, we want to forget they're there, we want to pack them in the attic, like the song says. We don't want to look at them because that dark night of the soul brings up every demon that we've ever dealt with and have pushed down and pushed down and pushed down. But there comes a time where even the littlest tiny poke triggers all of it, and we become walking and we're throwing up on everybody. And so it all begins when you honor yourself enough to say, I am not gonna self-harm myself anymore by all the substance abuse, I am not going to stuff my feelings anymore. I I was I was never so proud of one of my children when they literally said at a family event, you know what? I am not gonna stop being who I am anymore. That, my dear friends, in Humanityville, is truly honoring yourself. Whether people like it or not, if you cannot be true to yourself, you will never be able to fully honor and respect another because you have to have self respect first, and then you can go on and show others how to walk through it as well. So, along with Napoleon Hill, I agree that happiness can be found only by helping others. To find it. Do you know one of the things I look forward to every day the most? It's this. It's imagining thousands of faces, maybe driving in the car or washing dishes or walking in a warehouse with an earbud in and chuckling or maybe even shedding a tear or saying, Yeah, that's right. Tell it. I am so happy to bring the experiential knowledge, the wisdom that God has dropped into my heart, mind, and soul to others. And one day I'm going to get to meet y'all. One day you're going to sit across from me and we're going to have a conversation together. I don't know when that's going to happen, but he's already told me it will. So, in closing, I just want to leave you with a real cool quote. And I want to just, before I leave the quote, I just want to wrap it up and remind us how we are literally learning a little bit more in depth about what it is like to become totally and completely authentic. It's appreciating our divinity, the fearfully and wonderfully made creations that we are, letting our inner child loose. Oh, play humanity, play today. Learning to trust our inner voice, which literally is the conduit to God, because He will speak through us if we can begin to trust it. And then today it's how we can help each other in Humanityville by learning to honor ourselves first. Tomorrow we're going to hit the E in authenticity, and we're going to talk about experiencing the power of change. And so today on this thought-provoking Thursday, I want to leave you with a quote by Leo Buscaglia, and he said, It's not enough to have lived. We should be determined to live for something. May I suggest that it be creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of personkind, bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely. I want you to think about our world right now and the tumultuousness and the anger and the division and the overwhelm and the lack of hope. Imagine if all of us out there in Humanityville on this beautiful planet we call Earth, and might I add Earth School, why don't we make our Earth School lesson today? To do what Leo said, to be determined today to live to help someone in Humanityville today, to say as you step out into the world today, Holy Spirit, show me who I can help today. Show me how I can create joy for another person. Show me how I can share what I have to help somebody. I love how he says person kind. Instead of Humanityville, it's person kind day. And how I can bring hope to the lost. And yes, maybe your heart string will be pulled toward that person standing at the freeway exit with the sign out. And you're sitting in your Porsche or your Lexus saying to yourself, Well, you know what? You have new shoes on and you look clean, so are you just scamming me? But yet your heart is being tugged because you see, we don't even know. And if it is a scam, well, maybe you still need to help them. It's that type of attitude, God, that we ask that you give us hearts that are open to hear your voice, so we can bring hope to the lost, and yes, love to the lonely. So I hope you have yourself a terrific Thursday, because you're going to find such delight in helping another today, Humanityville. Because I know that you are an incredible creation of God, a spark of him. So shine, baby, shine. Peace out.
