Speaker 2:

Thank you. Thank you so much, excited to be here.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we're excited to help you. What motivated you to transition from your early life experiences to becoming a transformational coach and entrepreneur?

Speaker 2:

Love it, love it Love it. So one of the things that happened is I became an entrepreneur and in becoming an entrepreneur I was blessed to get amazing, amazing, amazing business partners a couple of thousand and God showed me right away that it was more than just the money in the business, it was a ministry.

Speaker 2:

So I was dealing with so many women, that was dealing with things that was going through trials and tribulations, and God made it clear to me that it was my responsibility to share my testimony so that they can know that I got through it and I'm still going through it, but I'm trusting him for it at the same time.

Speaker 1:

I love that and I love that it's faith-based, because everything we do is because of him. Yes, everything, everything. I love to hear you say that and can you share maybe a pivotal moment that significantly influenced your personal and professional growth.

Speaker 2:

Yes. So it goes back again to the business that I have. But I was speaking with one of the young ladies and she had a tragic loss in her life, and when I say tragic I mean it was really, really tragic. And to be able to see her still smile you know, she has her moments, she has her times, she go through it but to see her still be able to smile and I love to smile and I love to tell people to smile but I'm like, but God, would I be able to still smile if I've been through some things that others have been through? So that was the point of showing me I'm not the only one who's been through some things. And although my testimony is powerful, it's not going to resonate with everybody. So if I could start speaking to different women who will freely share their testimony, I know that it's something out there for everybody.

Speaker 1:

I love it. You meet them where they are, and it may be for you and it may not be for you, but hey, this is my story that's right, that's right as a keynote speaker, what strategies do you employ to connect with and inspire diverse audiences?

Speaker 2:

oh, I love that question, so I focus on being real. A lot of times as speakers um anybody you know, in any type of professional setting, we read a lot, we chat, gpt a lot, and that's okay, those resources are there and I love them.

Speaker 2:

But I also understand that there is power in the testimony, there is power in being real. So when I get in front of an audience, I am letting them know from the beginning real. So when I get in front of an audience, I am letting them know from the beginning I am going to be me, because I understand that you can relate to me. You can relate to the things that I've had to struggle with. You can relate to my testimony. So it's so important for me to share my experiences as I speak to them about how to get through theirs.

Speaker 1:

Okay, just being real. Be, real, original, no copies. Because I saw Tanisha speaking. She said this Let me try to put mine this way, but just be you.

Speaker 2:

Just be me. Yes, I give all my disclaimers from the front. I let them know I'm a little loud, I'm a little comical. I love to laugh, but it's so important to be you because people relate to you. That's true.

Speaker 1:

It's so true. How do you approach coaching individuals to help them unlock their full potential?

Speaker 2:

Yes. So the way I approach is mindset. You know, as a transformational coach, a transformational speaker, I understand that the transformation starts when you make the decision to change your mindset. So that is going to be the very first thing that we talk about. I let them know that I'm faith-based. So you're going to hear something about Christ, you're going to hear scriptures. That is going to come automatically. But we have to be willing to change our mindset. If you change your mindset, you will change your life, and the transformation starts when you change your mindset. One of the things that the enemy wants or probably the main thing that he wants is our mind. He knows that if he hits our mind, then he has us. So we got to get rid of the negative belief systems, we got to get rid of the negativity, we got to change the way we talk, we got to change the way we speak, we got to change the way we see things and we have to trust Christ. So mindset is always going to come first.

Speaker 1:

I love that mindset because it all starts right here. It's the battle of the mind. A lot of times. You know you can do whatever you set your mind to, but you have to make sure you got the right mindset. So that's great. Exactly and through Brocan Inc I like that too you empower women to achieve greatness despite past challenges. Could you elaborate a little bit on the organization's impact, or maybe some success stories?

Speaker 2:

Yes, so one of the things that Brocan does is we host an annual brunch, which this year is going to be a conference. So I'm super excited it's changed to a conference. But in that brunch it is so important for me to gather my speakers together and to speak with women who are again going to be who is going to be real, because I understand what the audience needs.

Speaker 2:

So my very first brunch was so amazing and my panel was a group of women who were a doctor, a lawyer, a pilot, an attorney I'm sorry an attorney, a pilot, an evangelist, someone who has the business in trucking, and then a young lady who is over a successful nonprofit, and I knew that when they were introduced, the women in the audience would look at them like wow, and that it would seem unreachable or something that can't happen to you.

Speaker 2:

But when they begin to open their mouth and they begin to share their testimony, women sat there and realized that no matter what I've been through, I still can. So that is what we say with Broke In, you still can. And so many women you know since then have started to live out their dreams and walk into their calling and let their past be behind them and realize that if God did it for these young ladies, they can do it for me as well. We also host amazing retreats every year that are transformational, and this year I will be doing my very first camp for young ladies ages 13 to 18. Oh, wow.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and is it in the Atlanta area? Yes, in the Atlanta area.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Okay, that's awesome. So you're going to be coaching those young ladies as well to as far as like guiding them, because that age group, that's the age group you need to grab. Grab them right there. Yes, let me ask this question. It just kind of came to mind Do, whenever you are asked to be a guest speaker or maybe a coaching session, does it scare some people when you say it's going to be faith based, or are they OK with it?

Speaker 2:

say it's going to be faith-based or are they okay with it? I've had some people that I've had to turn down when it came to speaking because they did prefer it not be faith-based, and I'm okay with that. You know, I understand sometimes if you are a corporation or a certain type of professionalism that you can't, you know, bring up certain things, and so you know God gave me the okay not to do it. So it has scared some people when it comes to speaking. Yes, Okay.

Speaker 1:

I often wonder that. I ask a lot of ladies are men who are speaking? Does that kind of turn people away sometimes? Yes, yes, but thank God, you said with your faith and you said okay, then I don't need to do the event. Right, Right, Awesome, Awesome. Now your book you Still Can shares your inspiring journey. Which message do you hope readers take away from it?

Speaker 2:

I hope that readers take away that you still can. It is never too late. If you are still here, you still have purpose. God still has an amazing plan for your life and oftentimes again, because of our background, because of our education, because of some of the trouble or the things that we've been in, we don't feel like we can be in a certain position. We forget that God did not forget about us. So, when you still can, I share probably 90% of my testimony, but then I also share the things I did for the transformation to happen. I talk about confidence. I talk about your words have power. I talk about the transformation itself. I talk about your gifts and your talents and all of those great things. I want women to know that it is never too late and that it is so important for women to complete and not compete, and that we can do so much more when we do it together.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I love that. Can you say that one?

Speaker 2:

more time. Yes, as women, we are to complete and not compete. So important.

Speaker 1:

Yes, you guys hear that chit chatters Complete, not compete. Now how can they purchase the book?

Speaker 2:

Okay, so for my book they can go to tanishabowmancom, which is my website. They can see all the amazing things I'm doing. I have some free transformation workshops coming up, my let's be social. All of that is on my website, but it is Tanisha Bowmancom.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we'll put it in the Facebook coffee chit chat group so they can purchase it. Okay, now your mantra, and it's spelled smile, it S-M-I-L-E. It emphasizes intentional joy. How do you incorporate this philosophy into your daily life and into your work?

Speaker 2:

I love it, so I remember to smile seriously, make intentional laughs every day. As women, we wear so many hats.

Speaker 2:

We are so easy to say stress OK, like that's a part of our language, that's what we know, that's what we've heard, that's what we've seen. So we so easily put stress on top of the gifts and talents that God has given us. I never say that stress isn't real. It just isn't real for me and I have learned how to redirect it. So sometimes I will simply be sitting here. I feel myself getting a little worked up and overwhelmed and I will stop and I will just smile.

Speaker 2:

I will bust out laughing because I choose to be happy. I choose to think about the joy of the Lord. The joy of the Lord is where I get my strength from. So if I'm feeling weak, then I know that I can go to the Lord to get my strength right. So, therefore, I'm going to smile and I'm going to encourage people to smile. You know, if I'm walking past somebody, that's my goal to smile, because I may be the only smile that they see that day.

Speaker 2:

So it is so important to smile, release this mess that the enemy is trying to put on top of your life and your business, and your goals and your dreams and your health, and all of that, remember the joy of the Lord.

Speaker 1:

I love it. I love it and in your Bible I know you talked just briefly about the organization and we both are a part of it and you have our little bling bling business. You have like 3,000 team members. How do you manage Social media? Social media I take my own advice as a social media strategist. Okay, yes.

Speaker 2:

Yes, and for any leaders that's doing any type of business, it's so important to put leaders into place. Again. You know we wasn't created to do it all by ourselves. You know there are other people that God will bless you and your organization with gifts and talents. Where you're weak, they are strong. So when you get together, and especially as women, and do it all together, that puzzle will be complete.

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay, and I love that you just say smile, don't let anyone take your joy away. Because the joy you have the world, didn't give it the world can't take it away. The world can't take it away, don't let them take it away, that's right, that's right away. Or don't let them take it away, that's right, that's right. I love it.

Speaker 2:
