Show Notes

Have you ever wondered why everything seems to work against you? Why does the basement flood and the attic have carpenter ants? Why does the computer crash and the electric bill spike? Could it be that you—as a human—are experiencing the effects of a cosmic war?

This story in Genesis 3 is explaining why things are the way they are. Why everything is bent and broken and dying. God is giving us the answers, as he speaks to Adam about the consequences for his decision to sin.

Guest: Mike Wittmer

Bible Passage: Genesis 1-3, Revelation 21-22

Joining me is Dr. Michael Wittmer. Mike is the author of several books, including Becoming Worldly Saints, Anticipating Heaven, and The Bible Explainer. He's a pastor and a seminary professor at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary—here in Grand Rapids, where I live. He is married to Julie and has three young adult children. It's a huge honor that we have him with us today, and I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
