Ho Chi Minh (the Bringer of Light) Would Be Proud Featuring Vi Nguyễn
Dr. Arrowood is accompanied by Vi Nguyen, a former student from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in this episode. The English translation of Ho Chi Minh is "Bringer of Light." Vi, who graduated a decade ago and has since ventured into the real world, is shedding light on the benefits of studying abroad, not only for students but also for professors. She co-founded ProPath, an educational company that assists Vietnamese students in studying in the USA, UK, and Australia while also facilitating global faculty exchanges. Vi reflects on her time in the global leadership courses, particularly the immense diversity present in the classroom. She cherishes the network and social interactions that are typical of Western-style education. "I remember how you instructed us to discard our syllabus and prepare to learn at the beginning of one of our classes. It caught me off guard, but the value it adds to my role as an entrepreneur today is immeasurable."
