182. Done With Debt Part 3: Your Debt Snowball Game Plan (Where to Start When You Have Multiple Debts)
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This is Part 3 of a 5-part series on breaking up with credit cards and paying off debt. You're not making extra debt payments yet - you're still building your sinking fund like we talked about in Episode 2. But you NEED a plan for when you're ready. In this episode, I'm walking you through how to list all your debts, pick your strategy (snowball vs avalanche), and create your debt payoff roadmap. So when your sinking fund is set and you're ready to attack debt, you know exactly which one you're focusing on and why.
You'll learn:
- Why you need a debt payoff plan even though you're not making extra payments yet
- How to pick your strategy: snowball (smallest first) vs avalanche (highest interest first)
- How to number your debts in order so you have a clear roadmap
- How the debt snowball actually works (minimums on everything except your target debt)
- When you'll actually start making extra payments (after your sinking fund is set)
This is Part 3 of 5. Start with Part 1 if you haven't listened yet.
