Welcome. Welcome to the Buddy Foy Junior Show. Thank you all for being here. Okay. Welcome to my YouTube channel. Welcome to my podcast. And um, man, it's my Jesus Jim. And I am in warrior mode, folks. Not political war mode, leadership war mode. Because if I'm being honest, that's where I've been living lately. Pressure, conflict, standards, grace, achieving our mission, pressure, employees, payroll, leadership. And the deeper I get into scripture, the more I'm realizing something. Most of my life, I thought war mode meant intensity. Push harder, work longer, demand more. Create urgency. Apply pressure, a lot of pressure. And honestly, that approach, as I've talked about in the past, has built a lot of success. But lately, it doesn't feel like that's how I should be leading if I'm in the word.

Redefining War Mode Spiritually

If I'm in the word, I need my war mode to be more spiritual. Spiritual alignment. Now, Peter and John are rested in Acts chapter 4. And if you've been listening to the Buddy Foyer Jr. show, you know that I've been unpacking Acts. The book of Acts to me is an incredible leadership book, and it's just blowing my mind. Now, Peter and John just heal a man. He's lame. The crowd gathers, and the church is growing. And the religious leaders, boy, they're furious. I mean, these guys could cure cancer of our time and it'd be attacked. Does that sound familiar? They seize Peter, the leaders, in Acts 4, 1 through 3, and John, because it was evening, and there's nowhere other to go than jail. They put him in jail. Now think about that. These men just formed a miracle. They just helped somebody. He could walk. He was crippled. He was lame. And they put him in jail. Leadership lesson number one: doing the right thing does not guarantee

you crowd approval. In fact, I'm going to argue it usually will do the opposite. And we can see it unfolding before our very eyes on a daily basis. And that's spiritual warfare. So, how do we go into war mode through our leadership while being biblically grounded? We follow the scripture. We follow here Peter and John. Now the boldness under the pressure blows my mind. The next day, Peter is brought before the Sahedron the same people that crucified Jesus. The same system, I should say, that political structure, that power, that greed to keep that power. Peter doesn't back down. He was in war mode. 410. It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, but whom God raised from the dead. Peter names reality directly and boldly, no spin, no compromise, no apology. Then Acts 14, 13, 4, 13 gives us the greatest biblical verse in the Bible. They recognized that these men had been with Jesus. Am I leading? Am I coming across where if people seize me and they go, oh, that dude knows Jesus? No, folks, I'm not. Now, there's no leadership training back then. There's no branding marketing company. And that wasn't charisma. Not influential tactics. They had been with Jesus. Now, can I really become an effective leader that keeps my standards high while extending grace if I've never actually walked with Jesus? Yes, people have done it. And that's what this Jesus gym is about. Me and

Bold Truth Under Real Pressure

you talking together about how do we achieve this level of awareness in the presence of Jesus in our leadership. Peter and John are released, and they've been threatened, pressured, warned, harassed, and they return to the believers. Now, if you're like me, you'd expect them to come back angry, warm out. Maybe create a strategy, maybe retaliate, little resistance, or at least complain. But they don't. They raise their voices together in prayer. I don't go there by default. They prayed. The ground shook. And Acts 4, 29 through 39. Sorry, Acts 4, 29 to 31. Folks, I'm gonna put the description notes, the biblical references because I'm messing them up here. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enabled your servants to speak your word with great boldness. That's what they ask of God. That's what they pray. They didn't pray, Lord, remove the pressure. Remove the position, elevate our position, remove their position, remove the opposition. Let's create some conflict. Lord, we need your help. We're gonna conquer

Known By Being With Jesus

these guys. Nope. They prayed. And the place where they're meeting was shaken. The ground shook. Man, can you imagine being in warrior mode? Truly in the presence of God, utilizing God as the tactic, as a redeemer.

Warrior mode. I want to pivot my warrior mode to look like Acts chapter four. I'm pressured, I'm threatened, but I pray. And I'm finding I am doing this more lately. Going through something with our landlord, and I called my pastor, and I prayed. Because I do want to relieve pressure

The Prayer That Shakes The Room

for my landlord, but at the same time, by doing so, it's going to create an enormous amount of pressure on me. And I have to hold them accountable to what we agreed on. Man, this tight rope of being in warrior mode against the spiritual warfare, walking in the presence of Jesus, which means we have to give grace without getting our peace disturbed. Boy, it's challenging. That's new to me. But I'm going to keep showing up my Jesus gym. I'm going to invite you to come back with me. And we're going to go in warrior mode together. We're going to conquer this worldly behavior of attack and destroy. Don't take the beat. We'll see you next week. God bless.
