EP 17: Hollie Azzopardi- "A Feeding Journey That is Honest, Vulnerable & Empowering"
Hollie Azzopardi is a leading Australian Mind, Body & Soul mentor, body love advocate and model, speaker and writer. Co-host of The Middle Podcast and her latest podcast ‘Soul Talk’, and published in Cosmopolitan, OK Magazine and Mamamia, her sold out workshops, online programmes and speaking events incorporate a refreshing “no bullshit” approach to living in alignment, following your intuition and pursuing what lights you up.
The biggest takeaway and for those of you who haven’t been graced with Hollies presence, is experiencing her vibes. You need to just listen to this and you will truly get a sense of this amazing woman through the airwaves. Her episode is raw and vulnerable. Amidst all that she, her little family and community are enduring in the Northern Rivers with the floods at this time- Hollie still wanted this episode to launch this week to help other mammas who may be, are currently or will be in her position that she has been with feeding her little love.
Have your tissues handy but also be ready to feel inspired, empowered and also fall in love with this warrior woman who normalises Motherhood and all that the 4th trimester encompasses.

Soph: Before we begin, we are grateful to live and work on land that holds the stories of the Dreamtime. We pay our respects and honor the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present & emerging and acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of our First Nations People.

Soph: Welcome Hollie, thanks SO much for taking the time given you have a fresh bambino. Now, do you have a wild and hilarious Motherhood story from your journey so far?
Hays: Now, we have seen your socials blow up with your post about feeding and the layers of how hard every kind of feeding is. We understand that this is a delicate topic for you and when I personally saw your post, I didn’t feel as alone as we have had an extremely similar time with feeding Hollie- do you feel comfortable talking us through your journey so far particularly with having big boobies and how that's unfolded? How has the pump life been also…
Soph: Hollie, you built a wonderful support community around you, can you tell us what this looked like?
Rach/Soph/Hays: What is one of the most unhelpful things people keep saying to you - and other women - in the immediate postpartum weeks?
Rach: Homebirth, tell us how that felt especially in the recovery phase? Feel free to reflect on any stories or particular images or memories or your births...
Soph: We know that you have touched on the challenges already but what's the most beautiful aspect of Motherhood so far for you?
Hays: Now we know you are an extremely intuitive person. Have you felt intuitive at this time or do you feel more of a sense of overwhelm with the hormones etc?
Rach: Hollie, when we caught up recently, you mentioned that you’ve also experienced a spike in anxiety when it comes to driving with your baby. How is this going for you? Are you driving yet?
Hays: We know that it's the early stages. What's one thing that you do for yourself if you can?
Rach: What's the best piece of advice you would give to a new mum in the 4th trimester?
Soph: Can you give us three words that summarise Motherhood so far for you?
SOPH Outro: Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and raw experience. This episode will help so many mothers and parents who are in the trenches and make them feel much less alone. To learn more about Hollie got to hollieazzopardi.com and on Instagram @hollie_azzopardi
