TowMate’s Infinitra Bar And The Future Of Flexible Warning Lights
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What happens when a light bar becomes a control system? We sit down with TowMate’s Chris Anderson to explore how flexible warning lights and smarter training are reshaping safety, installs, and compliance across state lines. The Infinitra 58 quad‑color bar anchors the conversation with full 360 coverage and deep configurability: independent control of patterns, speed, intensity, front cutoff, and rear‑only modes for stationary work. Add traffic advisor functions, cruise and parade modes, plus stop‑tail‑turn integration, and you get a single platform that adapts to jobs, policies, and regional codes without swapping hardware.
We also unpack the engine behind it all: PowerLink 2.0, a two‑wire power‑and‑ground digital platform that’s 44x faster than the original and broadcasts across three frequencies for rock‑solid reliability. Installers get CAN‑like control without extra data wires, upfitters shave hours from builds, and fleets can standardize across vehicles with drop‑in multicolor markers and stop‑tail‑turn replacements. For agencies and operators crossing state borders, a configurable quad‑color setup means fewer compromises and clearer signaling at every scene.
There’s more: a first look at the TowMate Advantage wireless tow light, a lithium‑powered, budget‑friendly cousin to the SaberLight. Expect wireless stop‑tail‑turn with sequencing amber turns, integrated strobe and area light, a clean housing with strong magnets, and a smart battery indicator on startup—plus an upgrade kit path for TM22 owners moving to lithium. Rounding it out, TowMate University launches as a module‑based training hub to help dealers and operators master setup, configuration, and best practices so every feature turns into real‑world safety and efficiency.

We appreciate every one of you listening, and this is going to be a great podcast today. It's one of our key sponsors, Toe Mate, uh, with Chris Anderson. And let me tell you, we always ask him to come back because it's always so informative, and it's it gets the latest products out there in front of our listeners and shows you what the features and benefits of these products and how they can impact your business. That's the key. We want to show you what's out there so you make the right decisions when purchasing, and we know that's what helps you grow your business. So that's the important part of this. So to start out, great, good morning, Chris. We are so happy to have you today, sir.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, good morning, Darren. And uh I too have a face for radio. So, you know, here we are. So uh we're we're happy to be here. Always uh always a pleasure, my friend. This being the the first uh video podcast I've done. So uh yeah, excited for the new format. We'll see if we can't uh do a little razzle dazzle today with uh some of the new stuff we're doing here.
SPEAKER_03Awesome, man. Awesome. I'm excited. I'm excited, brother. Well, but before we get into the specific product, uh the the first thing I want to ask is what's the overall focus for Tomay as you look towards two as you look through to 2026?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, well, you know, here we are midway into February, uh, and we've already got you know the wheels turning. Um our focus this year is really going to be centered on flexibility, control uh, you know, for the products, and education. Uh, you know, the towing industry, it's not a one size fits all anymore. Uh operators need equipment equipment that can adapt to different jobs, different regulations, uh, different vehicles, uh, and and you know, different situations, all while being intuitive and reliable. Uh so you know, at the same time, we see a growing need to help users truly understand their equipment, uh, not just install it. So, you know, we're we're kind of we've got several uh you know several things we're doing this year that that's that's moving us in that direction.
SPEAKER_03Brother, that's that's absolutely awesome. So yeah, in the past where everything was uh everybody tried to make it a one size fits all. Here's your here's a light, take that and run with it. You guys are going specific for every application. What have you got? What are your needs? And here's our products that can fit into that for you. Is that what you're saying?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, absolutely. I mean, you know, we we want to have solutions that can address a myriad of you know needs all within one. So, you know, kind of trying to be a one size fits all, but you know, actually uh addressing the needs of each individual. So, you know, we uh particularly uh on the the warning light side, we've got some really exciting things coming.
SPEAKER_03Fantastic. So it sounds like you're doing the old uh underpromise and over-deliver for your clients. You can never go wrong with that.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's the idea.
Infinitra 58: Quad‑Color Overview
SPEAKER_03I love it, man. Well, let me ask you this, Chris. I I know one of the biggest releases so far from Tomay is the new Infinitra 58 quad color LED light bar. Um it's uh it's something we've uh we've we've got them here on the calendar without everybody seeing these. I've also got a vendor in the market that's putting these out uh and boxes as they go out. So if somebody doesn't know about this new product, they're under a rock. So uh man, tell us about that one. What sets it apart?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, we're we're super excited to uh to bring the infinitro to market this year. Um, it's uh it's a four-color bar all the way around, and it is all about total configurability. Um, you know, it delivers full 360-degree coverage in either an amber, red, white, and blue configuration or an amber, red, white, and green configuration. Um, but beyond colors, it's the level of control that really separates it from traditional light bars.
SPEAKER_03Oh wow, that's uh that's awesome. Well, let me ask you this what kind of control does the operator have over this bar?
SPEAKER_05So um you're gonna be able to adjust you know everything independently from flash patterns, the pattern speed, color selection, intensity, front cutoff, rear-only patterns. Um, in fact, you know, I can I can uh switch this camera around and I've got one set up. I can I can show you a little bit. So uh why don't we do that?
Deep Dive: Controls And Patterns
SPEAKER_03See, that's that's why the YouTube is so much greater than the audio, man. That's awesome. I'd love to see it, brother.
SPEAKER_05Let's see what we got here. So with the Infinitro light bar, you've got you know your stop tilt turn, which you can toggle on or off. If you don't need stop tilt turn, you don't have to have it. Uh, it also has multiple uh running light modes where you can have three lights in the center here. Um, you can have cruise lights on the ends. Um, so there's a number of ways you can set it up before you even get into the strobes and the patterns uh and the colors, etc. But let's take a look here. I'm gonna hit strobe. So, you know, you've got just an amber strobe there. Uh you can change the pattern, you can change the speed of the pattern, you can change the intensity. Yeah. And of course, you can change the color as well. Now, here's where it gets really cool. Uh, you know, I'll go through you've got the the way we've got it set up. I've got four buttons with strobe. So this one's got you know amber white. Uh this one is red and white, but the control pad has 16 buttons, and any of the buttons can be set up. Uh well, 11 of the buttons can be set up to any of the patterns the bar has. Um and the other five buttons are for speed, color, intensity, uh, pattern select, and then front cutoff. But uh what's cool is we also have like a rear-only pattern. So, you know, guys that are in the the northeast, I know when they are uh sitting stationary, they're allowed to integrate uh blue into the pattern on the rear. So what we would do in that case is um go through and find a pattern that we like. Uh let's see. So let's just say it's that one. Oh, that is the rear-only pattern. Now I'm gonna change the color. Now this bar doesn't have blue in it, this has green instead. But see, now on the rear, I've got you know, amber and green. That would be blue in a bar that's ordered with the blue. Uh, and so I'll kill that. I'll go back, you know. I'm running amber, might speed that up. Uh, I'm running amber for my strobe, but now I'm stationary, so I hit this other button, and now I've got, you know, in this case, it would be amber blue on the rear. So for the northeast, uh, we've got you covered. I know there are other states with uh different, you know, different requirements like that where this bar addresses it. Uh, you know, you don't have to special order a bar. This bar comes fully equipped out of the box. Um, it also, of course, has you know rear work lights, front takedown, left alley, right alley, um, you know, basically 360 work lights. And there is a there is a pattern that you can also set where it's uh where it's you hit one button and the whole thing comes on. And you can even change that to where it's a uh, you know, I'll go through some of the modes here. Or the patterns, so to speak. Yeah, I mean, we call it the infinitro because, you know, it's basically infinite configurability.
SPEAKER_03That's phenomenal, Chris. Um I'm blown away by how much is built into this light.
Rear‑Only Modes And Compliance
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's the parade mode we call it. Let's see. So this is cool too, whenever you have the full 360 like this, because you can you could use it as just a cruise light mode too, you know, where it's on steady in any of the colors, you know. And then of course, you know, you have your traffic advisor, and you can adjust the speed of that. Left arrow, center out, right arrow. There's just so much you can do with this bar. Now, uh, as you're looking here, uh, you know, you may see this control box, and uh this central control box, you've got your control pad that goes to the control box, and this control box has outputs that correspond to the 11 buttons that you know you have set to your various uh stroke patterns, arrows, what have you. Uh, so you can set it up where when you hit strobe one, you have uh you know grill lights tied to it to the output in here, so they respond off of the control pad as well. Or you hit work light, and you've got those tied to the work light output in the can in the central box, so they come on as well. Uh, but the true beauty of it, and I'm gonna go ahead and switch the camera around now. Okay. So the true beauty of all this, too, is that it is part of our new uh PowerLink 2.0 platform. Uh the 2.0 platform is 44 times faster than the original PowerLink, which is still a very solid product line. Um, and it's fully built out, you know, with all of our various um uh add-on lights that you know just happen to factory wiring. Um, but it's all two wires. So, you know, PowerLink for those of that are you know of the uninitiated, PowerLink is uh it's a power and ground system. So it's kind of like CANBUS, but we're not using a data wire, we're using existing power wires to send our digital signal. So it's really rather revolutionary for emergency lighting. Um, your control goes to power and ground, light bar goes to power and ground on that circuit, and then we're we're building out the product line as we have with PowerLink 1.0, where uh you'll have drop-in replacements for your factory stop tail turn, uh drop-in replacements for your factory markers that have this technology too. And the 2.0 platform, they're gonna be all multicolor where you'll have, you know, you'll be able to select up to four colors on these lights. So a lot of really exciting stuff coming, and it makes it where it's super configurable and uh easy to install. And uh, you know, the only limitation is the imagination, is what I like to say.
SPEAKER_03Well, I was about to say, um, Tomate is definitely a company that's not satisfied uh with reaching the the top bar. Uh and it shows by making it 44 times even faster uh on that. And uh man, let me tell you, that design, the the Infinetra, that's phenomenal because that's that it that does give them so many options um in one place. Uh so yeah, it would blow me away with that.
PowerLink 2.0 Platform Explained
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and when you're talking about you know uh crossing state lines or uh you know for dealerships too, you know, if you're selling a truck uh and you you're not sure when you build that truck out where it's gonna land, um, you know, these customers have different needs because we don't have a unified lighting code for the the you know federal US. So, you know, there's different different requirements in different places. This light bar addresses all of that. So you just stock one light bar and it's fully configurable, out of the box, ready to go. And uh so that that's the infinitre. In addition to being 44 times faster on the PowerLink 2.0 platform, it also has redundancies built in where it's sending the signal over three frequencies. So that data is going to get through, even if there's you know interference that's humming at this frequency that could interfere with that signal. Uh, this this now has redundant broadcasting where that signal is going to reach the lights uh and and you know pretty well instantaneously. So we're we're very excited about it.
SPEAKER_03Awesome, brother. Awesome. Well, you you guys have thought of everything over there. So uh I'm I'm blown away by the product. Uh Chris, let's do this. I'm gonna take a quick break for our sponsors, and when we get back, we'll have more great information on the lights from Vice President Chris Anderson of Tomate Industries.
SPEAKER_00We'll be right back, guys.com is the only way to go to manage on the vehicle to toe off the road, number one platform in the industry.

So uh, Chris, and coming back, man, you've all you've already uh knocked my socks off. I'm gonna have to put them back on here with the Infinitra bar. But uh let me ask you this: who is that Infinitra 58 designed for?
Sponsor Break
Who Infinitra Fits And New Sizes
SPEAKER_05Yeah, well, you know, uh obviously with so much capability, it's not limited just for the towing industry. However, the flagship model, uh, the one that I just showed is the Infinitra 58. Uh, so that is is pretty well a size that's pretty specific to the towing industry for wreckers. Uh, but we in rollbacks, uh, but we we are going to be also developing other sizes. So uh the next I believe is going to be probably a 72-ish in that range. Um, and then we'll also have, you know, on the smaller side, we'll have uh I think a 51-inch, which will be uh very uh very much uh applicable for law enforcement, um, and highway, highway service fleets, utilities, municipal, and then we're also gonna have one that's in the two to three foot range as well. Um, so you know, really anybody that needs emergency lighting uh, you know, can can utilize this bar, this technology, and uh, you know, especially upfitters too, you know, working with the power link technology, it's it's helping them turn vehicles, get them in and out of the shop faster, and uh lower their labor costs. So uh, you know, the the adventure is definitely going to open up some doors and uh and and provide avenues for increased revenue for a lot of a lot of our customers.
SPEAKER_03Man, I love it. And you know, you even said earlier, you know, a lot of these dealers are are getting these trucks, they're specular, they're getting them ready to go, and then they might have something that's not right for another state. And you guys took that right on with this with this bar and allowing the uh programmability in it. So absolutely phenomenal, man. So I get I guess my my next question, let's let's talk about because I know there's some things coming down the pipeline here. There there seems to always be when we talk. So uh there it's just like when I talk to Tomates, like open a cracker jack box because I know there's a surprise in there, there's more coming. So uh let's talk about something that's coming soon. The tomate advantage wireless uh toe light. Can you tell us a little about it?
Sneak Peek: Advantage Wireless Tow Light
SPEAKER_05So it looks like the secret's out, at least to you. I might have had something to do with that. Uh, but yeah, so the tomate advantage wireless toe light, uh, it is basically uh the little the little brother or cousin to the saber light, uh, which you know we released last year. Uh lithium-powered, you know, six amp hour lithium, uh the brightest wireless toe light on the planet. It's got the four modes your stop tail turn, uh, area light, strobe, and stop tail turn with strobe. So this is in the same ballpark, but kind of dialed down a little. We wanted to bring something that's feature rich, like the Saberlight, uh, at a lower price point, uh, and add more value to our customers that you know can't aren't necessarily in a position to, you know, spring for a 400 plus dollar wireless light, uh, but you know, could derive benefit from having uh integrated warning light, integrated, you know, area light, backup light, uh, and the stop tail turn, as well as a lithium battery platform. So the Towmate Advantage addresses all of those. It's uh basic it's built off of the same sort of platform as like the TM22 series, the number one selling wireless tow light in the world. Uh but but it's it's getting a facelift. So uh it'll have you know like a three amp hour lithium cell, uh, and it will have all the features that the saber has, just not quite as bright because you know that that uses like literal warning light, emergency light LEDs in the Saber. That's kind of the the the top tier, but uh this is still going to be very effective at uh at performing each of the tasks that it's designed for.
SPEAKER_03Man, that's that's absolutely awesome. Well, let me ask you this what um what functionality does the that does the uh advantage offer for our users?
SPEAKER_05Right, yeah. So so like I said, you know, it's gonna be um uh of course your wireless stop tail turn. Uh you'll have you'll have red tail light. Now the cool thing with this is your your turn signals are actually going to be amber and they're going to sequence. So it'll do very it'll have a very clear footprint of you know what the driver's intention is for motorists that are following. It should also address you know any areas uh of the country where officers seem to claim. That you have to have amber, you know, which I've never seen on paper, but uh, you know, some of these guys try to be sticklers about it. And it's like, okay, well, we can do that. Uh, and so this, you know, this will be uh uh another safety net for uh not getting shaken down by the man, you know.
SPEAKER_03Well you you know what I'm gonna ask next. Any chance I can say one?
SPEAKER_05No one laying around. What happens, Darren Weaver? I've got a prototype here. Uh so this is not this this will be available uh probably sometime in March of 2026. But uh here we have it.
SPEAKER_03Oh wow.
Advantage Features, Pricing, And Upgrades
SPEAKER_05So we've got a nice steel gray housing, a clear lens, you've got the hundred uh pound rubber-coated magnets, uh, your little switch guard there, and this has side lights too. But uh so they've been doing some runtime testing on it. So this is when it's actually about dead. And uh take a look at this. You'll I'll show you how you're able to tell that it's almost dead. When I start it up, bam, one amber light on the end. So uh that means it is almost dead. When it's a full charge, the the light strip is all the way full. So you have a battery indicator on startup every time. You don't have to you don't have to refer to you know anything else. It's just you when you power it on, how many of those amber lights are lit up? That's how much charge. So here's you know your wireless stop tail turn. You know, almost dead. Now you've got your your strobe. Wow. Yeah. Start it up again, cycle power, almost dead, and there's your area light.
SPEAKER_03That's fantastic, man. That looks so short.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So, and this is gonna be on the lower end of$300 uh retail. So, um, you know, I I think uh yeah, so it's it's gonna come into the marketplace at a very competitive price, offering a lot of features. You know, it's not quite as inexpensive as the lead acid TM22, right? But you know, that that that's really kind of an archaic technology with the lead acid batteries. So we're really uh guiding everything towards lithium now, uh, which we have lithium upgrade kits that are available where you can upgrade your stitch your TM22 to a lithium battery, and indeed we will also be offering an upgrade kit with that with the light strip that you just saw and a lithium battery together, so you can upgrade your existing TM22 to the tomate advantage. So that is uh that that's what's coming down the pike, and uh, you know, I'm glad you asked because uh we want to kind of get some buzz around this thing. You know, we we saw in the last year uh somebody introduced a light that you know was kind of a uh a little bit of a take on our saber light, even orange housing and all. Uh, you know, it's like come original, folks. But uh, and you know, they're coming over by the container load uh from China, and it's like, okay, uh, is that thing really gonna hold up? What kind of service are you gonna get? Uh with Tomate, you know that you can always call us, you get a human on the phone, and now we are bringing all of these features into a product that's going to be priced competitively. Uh, and it's a US-made product. Every time you buy a Tomay product, it's a US-made product. You're supporting U.S. families, and uh, and you know, we appreciate the 41 years of support from all of you guys out there in the field.
Quality, Service, And US Manufacturing
SPEAKER_03Man, fantastic, Chris. I tell you, I I've been to the facility before, listeners, and uh let me tell you, it is unbelievable. Everything they put in place uh to make sure they put a top quality product out. I don't know what I thought in my mind a lighting facility should look like, um, but it was a hundred times more than what I was thinking. So uh you guys have definitely done your homework and uh put everything in line so that every time you put a product out there, it's uh meeting or exceeding your clients' expectations. So uh got to give you kudos for that, brother. Well, listeners, we're gonna take another short commercial break to listen to our sponsors. And when we come back, more information from vice president of Tow Mate Chris Anderson. We'll be right back, guys. Hang in there and we'll see you in just a second.

SPEAKER_03Well, welcome back, listeners. Darren Weaver again with Toe Professional on the Go podcast. You are listening to the Toe Professional Podcast, as I said, and you are the ones that made it number one in industry. Again, the only publisher-owned podcasts in industry, and over 23,000 listeners worldwide. So we got to thank you for that. And as always, you can still find the audio version on podcast platforms Pandora, Stitcher, iHeartMedia, Spotify, Amazon, iTunes. Anywhere you get your podcast, you'll find us. Also, now you can see this mug on YouTube. Aren't you happy? Well, we're back now with Chris Anderson, VP of Tomate Industries. And let me tell you guys, every time I talk to him, like I said, there's always a prize in here. There's there's always something new. So I always love bringing you on, brother. We've got to do this at least, at least every quarter. Um, I and I don't know if I can keep up with your with the innovations there if I do it every quarter. So we might have to pick that up and do it a little more often. So uh let me ask you this. I know Tomate is also launching uh Tomate University. Um uh so what is that? Let's let's tell our listeners about it and why is it important to create?
Launching TowMate University
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so you know, and this ties into kind of what I was saying at the beginning is you know, education, uh, making sure guys understand the equipment they have. Uh Tomayate University is our new online module-based learning center. Uh, you know, so we kind of realized even the best products don't deliver their full value if users don't understand all the features. So Towmate University gives operators, fleet managers, and dealers an easy way to learn about our products, best practices, and applications, you know, on their own schedule. So um we'll be we're we're already you know in production on some of those. It's gonna be this mug uh talking about how you know the products. And uh, you know, in its infancy, it's it's really gonna be kind of geared towards dealers in the beginning. Um, so they they have uh solid foundation to educate their customers. Um but I mean there's nothing you know that's necessarily specific that only dealers can know about our products, you know. So it'll it'll eventually make its way out, uh, where you know it will be uh guiding end users to to uh these knowledge-based uh resources.
SPEAKER_03I love that. So what we're seeing then is uh a lot of companies they will sell your product at a show, they'll sell that to their distributor, get their distributor to pick it up and start carrying it. And then a lot of times it's just something that's on the shelf. And when they somebody says, Hey, I saw that, I heard you offer them, but they'll have that control pad, they might not know where half of the buttons do and what the full capability is of the product. So now what you're doing is you're gonna go in, and every one of those distributors, before it even hits the end user, you're gonna make sure they know front to back on this so they can absolutely coach the customer on what works best for their business.
SPEAKER_05Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's that that's forward thinking right there. I love it. I love it. Well, um, what what other kind of content will people find there at the at the top of the sure?
Training Content And Use Cases
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. So uh initially it's kind of uh a look at who we are, what we do, um, and then it breaks out into the various product categories. So there'll be product overviews, um, eventually there'll be setup guidance, configuration tips, uh application specific training. The the goal here is to reduce guesswork, um it minimize the learning curves and uh help customers get the most out of their toe mate equipment.
SPEAKER_03And again, I'm just gonna say I don't want to wear this word out, but that's fantastic because a lot of times you get a product and it has a might have a little bit of English, mostly foreign writing in it, and it's just pretty much try and figure out uh what to do and how to install it. And the products I myself buy from the most is those where the manufacturers say, hey, listen, when when you open this up, here's a QR code, scan it, go to our site and take a look at it, and it walks you through the installation and uh walks you through the the different features of the product. And I always love those. It makes everything easier, makes me look smarter at the end when I get it, get everything hooked up. So we asked you.
SPEAKER_05That's right.
SPEAKER_03That's right, and all the help I can get. So um let me ask you this, Chris. As we and this has been very informative. So I uh thank you again for this. So as we wrap up, what excites you most about 2026 uh for Towmate?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I mean, I think it's uh kind of a combination of things: the smarter hardware, uh better education, products like the Infinitra and the Advantage Wireless Towes, you know, that give more give operators more control than ever. Um and Towmate University, where it helps ensure that uh that the end users can uh use and control the products confidently and safely. Uh, and I think that's where we're gonna see real progress for the industry, and we're we're excited to be a part of that.
SPEAKER_03That's so awesome. Well, man, I I tell you, listeners, in a in an industry where a lot of companies out there will just turn a product out, throw it in a box, stamp it, and send it out the door. It's always awesome to see companies that always push the envelope, that continue to go back out there, they're never satisfied with great, they want a greater product for their customers. And I've always seen that with uh Chris VP of Towmate and his his father Brian, man. They've got a heart and a passion for this industry, and uh they're always concerned about what happens when that light hits your hands because they know um the way that works counts uh to your business, and you see that in the product. They make sure everything is top-notch for you. So, but before we leave here, before we wrap this up with the uh the finishing prayer, is there anything you want to say to our our listeners before we part?
SPEAKER_05Well, again, you know, thank you for 41 years of support. Um, you know, as Darren said, our our number one goal is to is to provide products that are going to hold up over time and uh do their part in ensuring that uh you you're able to do your job safely and effectively. So thank you so much. And uh we're really looking forward to a solid 2026 and uh and hope uh hope everybody stays well out there.

Closing Thanks And Sign‑Off
SPEAKER_03Well, just like Chris said, gentlemen, uh, men and women out there, if you want an infentra bar, the infinitra bar, make sure that you go ahead and pre-place your orders on that before Florida. Um, I do I do see there's gonna be a uh a great surge for that product. So to make sure you don't leave there empty-handed, make sure you go ahead and pre-order before the Florida show, uh, so that your unit's there and you can take it home and start enjoying it right away. Um, and as always, I'd like to pray us out. Dear Heavenly Father, I just uh thank you for this wonderful industry. Uh thank you for the inventors in this industry. And uh dear Heavenly Father, every one of our vendors, I ask that you just continue to help make them prosperous, help fill them with knowledge and wisdom that will continue to make this market a safer place uh for all our uh our driving public out there. Uh also, Father, I thank you for every one of our men and women and towing and recovery. I just ask, Father, you keep a hand over them, cover them with a hedge of protection, uh, keep their family safe while they're out there working and bring them back home to their family safe and bless them for their servants' heart. Thank you again, Lord. We ask all this in your precious name, Jesus. Amen. And listeners, as always, we thank you for being here listening to some of our top producers that we have in the industry, our vendors that are bringing the latest products to you that are concerned about your job and making sure that you show up in the black and not the red. They've got the products that'll get you there. Make sure you reach out to Towmate and see the innovations that are coming to the market.
