Ethan Gallogly - Outdoor Enthusiast, Hiker, Professor, and Author of, The Trail: a novel
Hello everyone. Welcome back for another episode of the Outdoor Adventure Series Podcast. This is your Host, Howard Fox.
The Outdoor Adventure Series celebrates individuals & families, businesses, and organizations that seek out and promote the exploration, and enjoyment of the great outdoors.
Our guest today is Ethan Gallogly.
Ethan, or "Po", as he is known on the trail, is an Outdoor Enthusiast, Hiker, Professor, and Author of The Trail: a novel.
The Trail is more than just a novel about hiking that details the origins of the John Muir Trail: a 211-mile trail spanning the rooftop of the Sierra Nevada from Yosemite Valley to Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the continental United States.
The Trail is an interpretation of the Hero’s Journey, which invites the reader to explore how nature can help us to rediscover what’s missing in our lives
The trail has earned numerous awards. It was included in Kirkus Reviews BEST BOOKS OF 2021 issue • "Unreservedly Recommended" by Midwest Book Review • Five Star Review from Reader Views.
While not hiking, he can be found teaching chemistry and is co-author of a widely-used General Chemistry textbook published by University Science Books.
