NoBS Wealth®
Welcome to the NoBS Wealth Podcast, where we cut through the noise and tell the truth about money. Not the cute truth. The real truth. The kind that makes you pause, get uncomfortable, then finally do something different.
I’m Stoy Hall, Certified Financial Planner and founder of Black Mammoth. This show isn’t built for people who want motivation. It’s built for people who want outcomes. Especially women, minorities, LGBTQ folks, and business owners who are tired of being talked down to, sold to, or fed recycled advice that doesn’t fit real life.
Here’s what we do differently.
We don’t spend 10 minutes on bios. We get straight to the topic and we go deep. Every episode follows a simple structure so you leave with clarity, not content consumption.
What’s happening
What’s the real problem and why does it matter right now.
What the media and society are screaming about
The hot takes, myths, half-truths, and fear cycles that keep people stuck.
The expert lens
Not theory. Not generic tips. How real professionals actually work with clients when things get messy. The frameworks, the mistakes, the hard truths.
The plan
Real steps you can take in the next 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days.
This show is for you if you’ve ever thought:
"I’m making money but I still feel behind."
"I’m running a business but cash flow feels like a constant fight."
"I don’t come from money and I’m tired of learning the hard way."
"I’m exhausted from financial anxiety and I need a plan that holds."
We talk about investing and taxes, yes. But we also talk about the stuff most finance podcasts avoid: shame, pressure, identity, family expectations, survival mode, and why your nervous system can hijack every good intention you have.
You’ll hear conversations with the NoBS Collective, a vetted group of up to 31 professionals across money and real life. Tax pros, attorneys, therapists, lenders, advisors, and operators who actually give a damn about people. Not clout. Not hype. Results!
If you want to build real wealth, you don’t need more noise. You need truth and a plan.
Hit follow. Listen weekly. Come ready to feel seen, called out, and leveled up.

And yes, we can get explicit around here. If that bothers you, you’re probably in the wrong place.

Inflation Sucks. Markets Are Wild. Here’s Why I’m Still Thankful. | Let's Get Real Ep. 27
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Thanksgiving hits different when you’re the one holding everything up. The bills, the business, the team, the family. And then people tell you, “Be thankful.”
In this episode of Let’s Get Real, I sit down and talk honestly about gratitude in a messed-up economy — not the Hallmark version. I walk through what I’m genuinely thankful for as a husband, dad, and financial professional, even while prices are high, markets are chaotic, and business owners are tired of wearing all the hats.
This is real talk for women, minority, and LGBTQ business owners on that next step of growth who know they can’t keep doing it all alone.
In this episode:
- Why gratitude feels hard when money is tight and life is heavy
- Holding frustration and thankfulness at the same time
- What I’m thankful for in my family and my clients’ trust
- Finding meaning in your work even when the market is wild
- How chaos doesn’t erase your skills, grit, or progress

Thanksgiving reality check: money, markets, and pressure
After Thanksgiving, everybody. Now I know a lot of you have been going through a lot this year. It's it, it's been a year, unprecedented year. I feel like we say that every other year now, and I understand some of what you're going through, but I want everyone to know that this time, this season, with all of the crazy shit that's going on, right, both politically, non-politically, your job, your wages, inflation, grocery prices being at the ass, be thankful for those around you. Be thankful for the ability to live the life that you do have. Be thankful for one, be able listen to me, but also learn as much as we can. I know I'm thankful for my wife who transitioned from being A-A-P-T-A out of the corporate world into being executive admin for Black Mammoth, and it's been tremendous having her around, having her with the boys, and being able to live our life. Really on the ways that we want to. I'm very thankful for my boys. Um, as crazy as shit assholes, they are sometimes. I love 'em. I love seeing them grow. I love seeing, going through the trials and tribulations of sports, you know, whether that's
Family, kids, and real gratitude beyond the numbers
playing tackle football for the first time this year. Playing flag football for the first time this year, or for Croy going and, and having two medals from his first two tournaments in soccer. Just crazy things happen. They can win championship going in six and oh and tackle football. I'm thankful for those things that they had to battle through. I'm thankful for all my clients that have allowed me to and trust me with everything that they have when it comes to their life and that that weight and that that trust. Really, truly means a lot. And I tr and I love the fact that all of you have entrusted, uh, me with teaching you and, and learning from the let's get real from no BS wealth, from Black Mammoth, all of the above. And, and follow me on this journey because it takes a lot. It's not easy, right? There's gonna be good days and bad days. Hell, I've had my own right? Good and bad things I'm dealing with now. Things I'm dealing with at other times too. I'm just very, very thankful to have all of you in my lives, whether that you've reached out and I actually know who you are or you're just, you know, listening
Thankful for the markets, chaos, and this industry
and, and tuning in. And this might sound weird coming from, from me. I'm thankful for the markets. I'm thankful for my industry. I know. I know you've heard me say I low with our industry and I do, but I'm thankful for it's there. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to have the connections, the relationships, and doing what I'm doing. I'd be doing something else now as, as crazy as the markets are. I think at the time of this filming, Bitcoin's at its lowest in a very, very long time. The markets just went crazy for a while with no understanding of why. We've got geopolitical pressures with Ukraine and Russia. You know, hopefully when this comes out, it's all kind of settled around. Thanksgiving. But I doubt it. I doubt it. I doubt I, I doubt that it'll be that clean. There'll be more chaos. There will always be more chaos. But what doesn't have to be chaotic is your relationships with others. Your continuous learning. You waken up every day trying to do your best. None of that is gonna go away because of the chaos. So for all of those listening, for all those tuning in on Thanksgiving, uh, if you will, or even afterwards,
Final challenge and Thanksgiving send-off for business owners
have a truly happy Thanksgiving and I really appreciate all of you and everyone in my life 'cause it allows me to be who I want to be, uh, and I am very appreciative of it. So thank you.
