How do you define Mental Health?
Mental health is a complex and individualized concept that can differ from one person to another. However, mentalhealth.gov, an authoritative source from the US Department of Health and Human Services, offers a valuable definition that sheds light on this topic. Mental health encompasses our emotional, psychological, and social well-being, influencing our thoughts, feelings, and actions. It plays a crucial role in how we handle stress, interact with others, and make decisions. From childhood to adulthood, mental health is vital for overall wellbeing at every stage of life.
Does a stigma prevent people from seeking treatment? 
When discussing stigma related to mental health issues, it's important to understand its multifaceted nature. Stigma encompasses a range of negative beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that contribute to bias, prejudice, and discrimination against individuals facing mental health challenges. There is a clear link between stigma and the access to mental health care, as demonstrated by multiple large-scale surveys. The negative perception surrounding mental health often hinders individuals from seeking the appropriate treatment they need.
What is the biggest barrier to ending stigma about mental health?
Addressing stigma can be an equally challenging task compared to tackling issues like poverty, hunger, or war due to its deep-rooted nature. One major obstacle is that many people are not even aware of stigma as a problem, which makes it harder to address and eliminate. Unfortunately, there are many individuals who are completely unaware of the existence of stigma towards people with mental health issues. This lack of awareness can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and hinder progress towards creating a more inclusive and understanding society.
What is the best way to combat stigma? 
Creating awareness and promoting education are crucial steps in addressing the issue of stigma and its detrimental impact on individuals. By spreading information about stigma, we can help people understand its negative effects and work towards reducing its preval
