Lauren Ottaviani (1996) is a PhD student (as a matter of fact, she has just handed in her PhD) in English literature at KU Leuven. She researches English and Irish women’s magazines from the end of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth century. Lauren hails from Pennsylvania, USA, and is as such the very first American guest on this podcast. Hurrah! We discuss her daily work, how she ended up in Belgium, inherently funny words in Dutch, Marie Antoinette, and - of course - dinosaurs.
