Welcome to episode 6, where we discuss our 224the watch, the 1988 movie Grotesque.
Lisa travels with her friend Kathy to her family's vacation home to visit her parents, only to end up victims of a home invasion by six of the most annoying antagonists ever.
This has a loaded cast list for any movie fan. Linda Blair from The Exorcist stars as Lisa, 50s heartthrob Tab Hunter plays her Uncle Rod, Guy Stockwell plays her father Orville, Charles Dierkop, who can be recognized as the killer Santa from the beginning of Silent Night, Deadly Night, plays Sheriff Matson. And for Mystery Science Theater 3000 fans, there is an appearance of Robert Z'Dar with a mere 2 lines, and Billy Frank as Ear Box, well known as Nick from Hobgoblins.
The "punkers" are awful. They are annoying, they are loud, they play their roles very exaggerated, and Gibbs will probably make you want to turn this movie off. But don't! There is a lot more terrible here to enjoy! Including the ending that follows the ending! Props to Tab Hunter for putting so much energy into such a ridiculous role.
*I mistakenly say in the recording that Charles Dierkop played the killer cop in Silent Night, Deadly Night, when I meant to say the killer Santa.
We spoil the hell out of this movie so you can decide if you'll stay clean or soak in this Corpse Tub.
