We are Mak & Syd -- both hosts of the Joy in the Journey Podcast.For years, we have served as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. We finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it.We started talking about our passions, our thoughts, and curious wonderings about our world. We founded JOY IN THE JOURNEY with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in our mind, and we have been at it ever since. We've known each other as long as we can remember. We met at church were our families both grew up. Syd's parents are both from Mak's hometown. We both talked a little bit when we saw each other at church, but never hung out.We both went our separate ways after high school, but kept in touch over social media. We recently reconnected after going through similar experiences. We ended up talking for 3 hours about past experiences -- leading to us wanting to start this podcast. Meet Makayla, She is from a little town in sunny Southern California that is 20 minutes from the beach, and she says that in-n-out is the best burger joint so don't come at her! She is currently enrolled in college studying communications in ID and she absolutely loves it. Makayla is one of the brightest lights to everyone she comes in contact with and can make anyone laugh, with her radiant smile and her energetic personality.

Meet Sydney, She is from UT, and she is not meant for the cold winters, but UT will always be home to her. She obsessed with hats & all things that comes along with being a girl. One of her hidden talents is having google maps on & still missing the freeways exits. She loves to travel, and would love to continue to travel. She is beyond excited to start this journey, and help people find joy in their journey through life.
