Often an entrepreneur is inspired by an experience or maybe even a family member. In the case of Celest Austin, MD, PhD Austin, it was both.

She founded GoManda after watching her sister’s amazing way of thinking – as an autistic person. The name of the company comes from her family’s time celebrating whenever her sister Amanda accomplished anything. They would cheer, "GoManda! GoManda!'

Dr. Austin then made it her personal and professional mission to empowering autistic children by helping them accept, nurture, and cheer for their strengths. GoManda is an evidence-based platform that uses common nouns and focuses on connecting with the child, encouraging each and every one to reach their potential, at their own pace.

Ana Carmagnani and our team at Cascade Communications were honored to interview Dr. Austin about GoManda (and learn about her awesome sister) at the ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, April 2022.
