During this mini meditation, let us imagine that we are a tall, majestic tree.

If you feel comfortable, close your eyes, or rest your gaze on the sky, ceiling, or floor.

Why should we imagine being a tree?

We can gain wisdom from trees.

Some have been here for hundreds of years.

They are strong, have weathered dozens of storms, yet still bloom and bring forth life.

Like the trees, we can find strength by grounding into the earth and being held by Mother Earth.

Allow Mother Earth to hold you.

Find comfort in knowing you are being held. Imagine roots moving down your legs and into the earth.

Feel the strength of the earth below you.

Feel your own strength within you. Know that you are supported and loved by the earth.

Just like the trees, you are strong and can weather any storm. Just like the trees, you are resilient. Just like the trees, you are beautiful and full of life.

Let us say silently in our mind and throat, “I am strong; I am resilient.” With each inhale or exhale of your breath, silently repeat “I am strong; I am resilient.”

“I am strong; I am resilient.”

“I am strong; I am resilient.”

Take a long, slow deep breath in through your nose, and slowly exhale that breath out of your mouth.

Notice your strength.

Notice how strong you feel on the inside.

Begin to wiggle your fingers if you can, put a big smile on your face, and open your eyes.

You are so strong. You are resilient.

And just like the trees, you are magnificently beautiful!
