Being Thankful - 5 Minute Meditation for Kids: This mindfulness and breathing exercise encourages children to explore gratitude in their lives.

When we are thankful for the things in life, we feel that our heart is full of love. This meditation practices being mindful of the gratitude we have in our hearts.

Mindfulness is an important theme in 'The Paper Girls Show'. Together with "Making" and "Mistakes", they create the "3 M's of The Paper Girls Show", which serve as the series' pillars.
"Make things Mindfully – don't sweat your Mistakes", as our mantra goes!

The goal of this series is to help guide children through mindful breathing techniques, visualizations, and positive affirmations to self-soothe and use throughout the day when needed.

Our practices contain:
🧘‍♀️ Mindful breathing exercises for kids
😊 Positive affirmations for kids
🧠 Visualizations for kids

Speaker 1:

When we are thankful for the things in our life, we feel in our heart, that it is full of love. Let us practice being mindful of the gratitude that we have in our heart. Let's start by feeling our breath. Take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling that breath, coming into your body and exhale out your mouth. Again, take a deep breath in through your nose.<affirmative> feeling that breath, enter your body and exhale that breath out your mouth. Let's ask ourselves the question. What are you thankful for? It could be something really simple, like a pet, your favorite snack or a family member, just quietly form a list in your mind of all that you are thankful for. What are you thankful for? And let us bring the words. Thank you to our mind and silently to our throat. And let us repeat the word silently inside. Thank you. Thank you. Each time you breathe in, say the words. Thank you. And each time you breathe out, say the words. Thank you. And as you quietly say the words, thank you. Allow other things to come into your mind that you were thankful for and say thank you silently to yourself for those things. Thank you. Thank you.
