Mini Meditations for Kids
"I am a Peacemaker" - 5 Minute Meditation for Kids
"I am a Peacemaker" - 5 Minute Meditation for Kids: This mindfulness and breathing exercise encourages listeners to find peaceful moments from within and to share it with others.
We all have access to peace within our hearts. When we are challenged, it is easy to forget that we have the capability to tap into that peace, and become peace. The more we tap into our internal peace, the more we are able to become a peacemaker for ourselves and others.
Mindfulness is an important theme in 'The Paper Girls Show'. Together with "Making" and "Mistakes", they create the "3 M's of The Paper Girls Show", which serve as the series' pillars.
"Make things Mindfully – don't sweat your Mistakes", as our mantra goes!
The goal of this series is to help guide children through mindful breathing techniques, visualizations, and positive affirmations to self-soothe and use throughout the day when needed.

Sometimes, we feel afraid. We see things that make us scared. When this happens, it’s
important to remember that you’re not alone.
Everyone feels scared sometimes, and that’s okay. When this happens, you can find
peace within yourself, which can help make you feel stronger.
How do you find peace, especially with so many unknowns around you?
You can find it within your heart.
When you find this peace from within, you can become a peacemaker for yourself and
for those around you.
You can then carry that peace throughout your life and even teach others how to be
peacemakers.
Let us crawl into our hearts for a few minutes to calm our body and mind and access
that blanket of peace within our hearts. Imagine the peace of your heart wrapped
around you like a cozy blanket. You have access to this peace at any time of day; just
crawl into your heart and be still for a few moments.
If you feel comfortable, close your eyes, or rest your gaze on the floor.
Let us take a deep breath in through our nose and gently release that breath out of our
mouth.
Again, let’s take a long, slow deep breath in through our nose and slowly exhale out of
our mouth.
And one more time, take a long slow deep breath in through your nose and slowly
exhale that breath out of your mouth.
Just sit and feel your body breathe for a few moments. How does your body usually
breathe? Do you breathe in and out of your nose? In and out of your mouth? Or a
combination of the two? Simply focus on your breath.
Imagine the words, “I am peace. I am peace.” Let us say these words silently in our
minds and throats with every inhale and exhale. “I am peace. I am peace.”
As thoughts of the future or past come to mind, just let those thoughts float like clouds
and gently bring yourself back to the words, “I am peace. I am peace.”
Let us take a long, slow, deep breath in through our nose and slowly exhale out of our
mouth. Begin to wiggle your fingers, lift your chin, and when you are ready, open your
eyes.
You are peace. You are here to be a peacemaker, for your family, for the people around
you, and for all those you will meet. Peace is always present in your heart.
