The Truth About Fat Burners: Why They Are Not Your BFF | Laura London
Hi everyone! Today I want to talk to you about something I run into a lot, especially with women who are just starting out on their health and weight loss journeys: commercial fat burners. You know, those pills that come in the little bottles at the vitamin stores. I have a really strong opinion on these because I’ve used them before myself, and no matter how much money companies spend on advertising, they are not your BFF.
When you get into your 50s and 60s, your body handles chemical reactions differently than it did in your 20s or 30s. Artificial fat burners simply fake your energy by abnormally spiking your heart rate and raising cortisol—which is literally nicknamed the "fat storage hormone." In this episode, I share why you need to stop stressing your adrenals, how to read your labels, and how to use puzzle pieces straight from nature to get your metabolism working in beautiful harmony.

Are you ready? Let's go. Today I wanted to talk to you about fat burners, I run into people, women, especially who are just starting on their health and weight loss journey. And they're on fat burners. Meaning the pills that come in, the little bottles that they buy at the vitamin stores. And I have a really strong opinion on fat burners.
One because I've used them before. So I understand what they do in the body and fat burners, no matter how much advertising know how much money they spend on them, they are not your BFF. And I'm going to tell you why it's because they artificially elevate your heart rate. They artificially elevate cortisol in your body. Cortisol is your fat storage hormone.
So even though you might feel like you're getting some extra energy from those fat burners, you're not and wanted to doing is the total opposite. It's affecting you're adrenals. It's affecting the cortisol level in your body and it's affecting the stress hormone. So my advice to you is to really research. If you're taking fat burners, read the labels, really dive into and see what they are made of.
I'm going to give you some healthy alternatives, like natural fat burners. Okay? So one would be just organic green tea. That's full of high antioxidants. It's going to help bring up your metabolism, but in a healthy way, that's not going to stress out your body when you stress out your body, especially when you get into your fifties and sixties and you're you can't,
you can't, you shouldn't be exercising or doing all the things you were in your twenties, thirties, and sometimes even in your forties, your body is different. The chemical reactions that are going on in your body or are different. So you need to hit it a little bit differently, especially if you're not having the same results that you used to have in your twenties thirties, and forties. Okay. Another thing you can do are green juices, green juices. So celery celery is like your number one BFF. It's going to hydrate your body. You're going to be giving it a lot of I'm rolling back here on my chair, cell salts. So what are our cells salts/,
they're kind of like Gatorade and I don't like to name labels, but it naturally hydrates your body without anything artificial. So celery is awesome. Anything in the citrus, grapefruit lemon, lime oranges. If you want to juice those along with celery, there are natural detox, detoxifier, a natural diuretic along with asparagus. Another thing that I've put in there was kale.
So if you want to add a nice leafy green, that's going to add to your body's detoxification. It's going to give you more energy, more vitamins, more minerals. It's going to hydrate the body. Do you see where I'm going with this? An artificial, a fat burner. an artificial. Fat-burner all it's really going to do is elevate your heart rate.
It's really not going to have the fat burning affect you're looking for. When you go to nature and you really ingrain yourself in what your body needs. It's like a puzzle. If you're giving it things at, from nature, that it knows what to do with those puzzle pieces are going to fit together and work in harmony. And the body always wants to be in harmony or in balance.
But if you're giving it things that are made in a laboratory or things that elevate other body functions, abnormally, they don't quite fit together. I hope that makes sense to you. That's my little rant and rave today on fat burners. I hope it resonates with you. You really understand, and you get that back. The closer we can go to nature,
our bodies are always going to respond better. All right, ladies, love you. thats it for now. Bye-bye.
