Self Care: More Than A Buzzword
For most of my life… I thought of “self care” as a spa day. When I became a mom, I thought of “self care” as getting a shower in.
A couple years ago I learned that “self care” is much more than a buzzword, and much more than a spa day or a shower. Self care can and should be a comprehensive approach to taking care of yourself.
In this week’s podcast episode, I’m sharing my experience of when I was at my personal lowest point - we had gone through some really hard things in my little family, I was struggling physically and emotionally, and I had completely lost myself in motherhood.
I made some big changes in my life and learned the importance of actually taking care of myself and meeting my own needs. I share some of the specific things that I did/do to take care of myself… but most importantly I share my APPROACH to self care that I truly believe can help everyone.
