In this episode, Bekah shares about her new book, The Tables That Raised Us, and we talk about the traditions we grew up with—the ones we’ve kept, the ones we’ve made our own, and the ones we’ve had to question and decide whether they still belong in our lives.

That leads us into another kind of letting go: our kids getting older and making decisions for themselves. We talk about how hard that transition can be as single parents, especially when Dad isn’t actively in the picture and there’s no one to tag in when parenting gets heavy. How do you give your kids room to grow when you’ve been the one carrying the responsibility for so long?

It’s a conversation about traditions, transitions, parenting, and realizing that just because something—or someone—is changing doesn’t mean you’re losing it.
