Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, his parents Dewitt and Gayle saw to it that their kids got out to see more than just their surroundings. Randy loved sports and just being outside living and enjoying life. After high school he would go off to the U.S. Navy were he served for over 23 years and retired a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Along the way looked for great ways to stay in shape so he picked up hiking. He would know know the way that he would fall in love with hiking. Has such a love for it and has gone too many of our countries National Parks and now looks forward to taking his family and friends with him.
