Girl… Let me tell you what I deserve.

I deserve love.

I deserve to be loved. Just as I am.

I deserve to give love. To myself, for my own pleasure, or to whoever I want.

I deserve to decide what my love looks like.

I deserve to be desired.

I deserve to feel sexy in my own skin. My Black skin. Because my Black body deserves to be celebrated — not policed, criticized, or questioned.

I deserve to feel good.

I deserve to tremble, quake, and rock.

I deserve sex that works for my body, because I define my pleasure.

I deserve a partner who prioritizes my pleasure.

I deserve to orgasm and have my needs met.

I deserve to be heard.

I deserve communication that is open, honest, and honored, because I don’t stop being worthy of respect in the bedroom.

I deserve to feel safe at all times.

I deserve to say “no.”

I deserve to live without shame.

I deserve to be Black and sexual. No matter how I identify.

I deserve to live. Truly live. To be alive.

In my truth. Unapologetically. And fiercely.

Let me tell you what I deserve.

I deserve it all.

And so do you.
