Where I could be free of the weight of the world.

Does a place like that exist? Is it real? 

Soñe de un lugar (I dreamt of a place),

Where my body can exist unburdened by the ideals that weren’t created with it in mind.

I dreamt of a place where my body can just be a body.

Worthy of rest, peace, and love. Worthy of protection and pleasure.

Do I deserve anything less? 

Soñe de un lugar (I dreamt of a place),

Where I am seen.

Where my spirit is heard.

Where my pain is felt.

Where my hopes and desires are allowed to be plentiful and honored.

A place where I come first.

When will it be my time to care for me? 

That place is here. And, your time is now.
