And, speaking about Thyatira in Revelation 2, verse 4 refers to those who had “not known the depths of Satan, as they speak.” The Bible talks about the Bottomless Pit in Revelation 20, saying this in verses 1-2, "And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.” Satan is the king of this Bottomless Pit in Revelation 9, and this episode helps a person understand the one who ascends out of this pit.
