EP: 036 - Why Realtors Should Check Out Tik Tok?

Hear my thoughts on trying new platforms and why I think opportunities come along and you should plant a seed and not overthink it.

Tik Tok has been around since 2016. It has over 500 million users and according to Hootsuite, TikTok bills itself as a “destination for short-form mobile videos,” but of course it comes with all the trappings of a social media community, too...and that my friends is the bigger deal...a community worth exploring and leveraging.

For those that have heard my other episodes or seen me speak you know that I got a huge bump in my business and visibility and made some amazing real estate friends when I jumped on Snapchat.

Can you re-purpose content you already have...absolutely.

Hey, guys, it's Michelle. Be with today Sip social cell sash and the roasted influencer pause. And today I want to chat with you a little bit about tic tac. Yeah, guys, Tic tac. I think you'll really enjoy the interviews and 1/2 of influencers in real estate around the country that share their branding and marketing tips. Okay, so I joined to talk. Now, why did I join to talk, not because I want to be doing funny dances and weird little videos, but I'm going with the mindset that I don't know where it's gonna lead. And it's kind of like an unintentional piece to my business. And I'm all about, you know, tying in the unintentional with the intentional. I did not realize at the time that I joined Snapchat All the things that we're gonna come from. Snapshot Um, I've had speaking engagements. I have made referrals from it. I have, um, met some amazing real estate agents from around the country because of Snapshot. And I feel that Tic Tac is going to give me an advantage as well, being on the ground floor now. It's been around for quite some time, but it's starting to get some really major attraction, and people are noticing it. And as a midlife mama hashtag over 55 I kind of feel like there's this opportunity of meeting other like minded mid lifers like myself that I can network and do business with. Keep in mind, I do collaborations as a micro, micro, micro micro influencer through hashtag so Boca and so it's very possible I may connect with some brands and people on tic TAC, so I'm all about trying new things as long as it's not a time suck. So I would say, take a look. Tick talk. Maybe threw up on account, maybe occasionally throw took tuck video up there. Just so you have some real estate on there, just like we did on Instagram and just like we did on snapshot and see where it might go, you may be surprised at who decides to follow you and not follow you. And remember, like minded folks like to refer to other like minded folks. So if you are a real estate agent and other realtors from around the country in the world are following you, doesn't that open you up to referrals? It sure does. For me, I'm in Sunny South Florida and beautiful book or tone, and we are a vacation home and second home market. So I am gonna tick talk myself along, and you're probably gonna see some of my yellow lab Brody because, well, he's pretty cute. So anyways, keep that in mind.
