Jessica Marshall, OD, of Holmdel, New Jersey, wanted to get the discussion of age-related macular degeneration out of the exam room and into everyday conversation. So she created "Macula Mondays," a food-themed community event. The program has evolved from an in-office catered offering to renting out a commercial kitchen to educate patients and their friends about the importance of nutrition.
