Thank YOU Judy & Faith!!!—- Meaning is SO left out of some of these “Cookbook” Reading Methods !!!! What’s the use of being able to make the sounds aloud.....if you don’t know what the words mean ....and/ or how to apply them to enhance everyday life ? We also teach to foster communication skills as in the classical model of education-- grammar , logic and rhetoric! Thanks always for your open dialogue!! It is more than refreshing! I always learn from you both and greatly appreciate your honesty and transparency!

Hi Faith and Judy! Love your show! Just listened to the show with Joan Sedita re: comprehension. What I would love to see/hear is a conversation AMONG Joan Sedita, Sharon Vaughn, Jennifer Serravallo, Daniel Willingham, Nancy Hennessy, Natalie Wexler (anyone else?) discussing what we know and understand about teaching comprehension now. Each of these people have spoken and written articles and/or books on the topic, but do they ever speak to each other, in public? I find it VERY confusing to hear (or read) each of them speak in their silos, i.e., in different venues and platforms, and then try to make sense of, and apply day to day, what is best practice? What do you think? I have this feeling that I am not the only “confused” one… Thank you for considering my question!
