Tiwana Floyd
Tiwana Floyd is a Bronx, New York native and an original "Around The Way Girl" who grew tired of low pay, misogyny, and being undervalued while dancing in choreographed Hip Hop music videos. With her sights set on becoming a television actor, she moved to Los Angeles after completing a two-year Meisner conservatory in NYC.
Booking national commercials allowed her the freedom and sustainability to thrive, audition for shows, and train at the Second City Hollywood, where she graduated conservatory and the directing program.
Tiwana grew her career as a working actor by consistently marketing her work to casting directors and agents. And later taught the Business of Acting at both Berg Studios and Graham Shiels Studios. Where she helped actors go from disenfranchisement to empowerment.
Tiwana uses this podcast to share what she's learned as a working actor to demystify and help other actors grow without less frustration.
