Ending Physician Overwhelm
I'm Megan Melo, board-certified Family and Obesity Medicine Physician and Physician Coach. In this podcast we talk about the many ways that burnout shows up in our lives, and what we can do about it. I'm on a mission to help Physicians take steps towards to heal burnout by unlearning the habits of perfectionism, people-pleasing and limiting beliefs so that we can lead healthier, happier lives.
The healthcare system is broken; but you don't have to wait until it's fixed to feel better. I'm here to help.

Ending Physician Overwhelm
Coaching for the Next Generation, with special guest, Dr Tonya Caylor
Residency is a time of intense growth and learning, coupled with great sacrifice and pressure to perform. It is in this pressure cooker that many perfectionist and people-pleasing habits are, well, perfected. Today I am speaking with Dr Tonya Caylor, a Family Medicine Physician and Certified Life Coach who coaches Residents and Faculty Physicians with an eye to preventing burnout. Listen in as she shares her own story, and why she is called to do this work.
Dr Tonya Caylor is a Family Medicine Physician and Certified Life Coach in Alaska. She is originally from Florida, and has spent over 20 years in both clinical and academic practice. She is currently focused on coaching work, but continues to see patients at her local community health center.
