Ending Physician Overwhelm
Sitting With Yourself
Can you sit still for 5 minutes?
It's funny, this is a question we might ask our child (likely in an exasperated voice), but is it something that you can do? This is a common trouble spot I hear from new clients; I can't sit still, I'm always rushing, I have so much to do. And yes, there always is a lot to do for most of us. But is that the issue, or are we afraid to sit still? For many of us, sitting still with our thoughts (and the feelings that arise) feels scary, or really terrible, often because of the flurry of negative thoughts that might bubble up if we got quiet.
This is normal AND you can learn to change your experience. Want to know how? You'll have to listen in to the episode.
To learn more about my coaching practice and group offerings, head over to www.healthierforgood.com. I help Physicians and Allied Health Professional women to let go of toxic perfectionist and people-pleasing habits that leave them frustrated and exhausted. If you are ready to learn skills that help you set boundaries and prioritize yourself, without becoming a cynical a-hole, come work with me.
