You can be great at medicine, and figure out how to find better balance for yourself AND still be called elsewhere.

Today I am speaking with Dr Jill Wener, an Internal Medicine Physician who transitioned from a Hospitalist role to becoming a Meditation and Emotional Freedom Technique Instructor. For her, choosing something outside of medicine wasn't an escape; it was a different calling. Listen as she shares her journey, and came to study the same tools that made a big impact on her life, so that she could bring this version of healing to others.

Jill Wener, MD is from Atlanta GA. She attended med school at Emory, internal medicine residency at University of Washington in Seattle, and then practiced hospital medicine at Rush Medical Center in Chicago for 10 years. Several years after a meditation practice vastly improved her burnout, she spent 3 months in India training to become a meditation teacher and transitioned out of clinical medicine to teach meditation full-time. During a profoundly difficult time in her personal life, Jill discovered EFT/Tapping and became a tapping practitioner a few years later. She balances her time professionally between leading meditation retreats for women in healthcare, working with her EFT/Tapping clients, and working as an anti-racism educator and DEI consultant. She currently lives in Atlanta with her husband and stepkids.
