Jesus said, in Matthew 21:21, if we have faith, and doubt not we can say unto the mountain, be thou removed… and it shall be done.
I believe God still performs miracles. God can, in an instant, change a person's life completely. From sick to healed. From blind to seeing. From lame to walking. From sinful to forgiven.
The Bible gives us many examples of people that were immediately changed by the miraculous power of God’s touch. Jesus declared in John 14:12, "the works that I do shall you shall do also".
So, when we speak to “mountains” of difficulties, we can expect them to move. However, there are times that we can speak, by faith, to our mountains and they don't seem to move immediately. Before you get frustrated, let's take a closer look at Matthew 21:21.
The greek word used for faith in Matthew 21:21 doesn’t just refer to immediate, it also means faithfulness and persistence. While we expect an immediate miracle, there are some mountains in our life that require a collaboration of the supernatural and our faithfulness and persistence.
Be encouraged, as long as you remain faithful, your mountain will move.
