The Reason for Our Hope

Hope can be defined as an earnest desire and expectation. Maintaining hope is extremely important. It plays a huge role in our spiritual and emotional wellbeing.
The Apostle Peter told us to always be ready to give an answer to anyone that ask the reason for our hope. While life may be difficult right now, you have a reason to keep hope alive. Our hope is not in this world alone, Jesus is the reason for our hope. 1 Peter 1:3 tells us that we have been begotten again until a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
It's possible to maintain hope after a negative medical diagnosis if the doctor suggests a proven treatment plan. Those individuals are able to remain hopeful, because of someone else's success in treatment. However, there are others who will rapidly decline, even as quickly as overnight, when given a diagnosis without a treatment plan. The difference being, the addition of hope.
The same applies to our spiritual lives. It is amazing to see someone endure the most difficult of situations and circumstances and still retain their faith. How is this possible? They have the added factor of hope in their lives.
In this episode we’ll look at several people who faced situations that appeared “hopeless”. Their lives teach us the importance of realizing where true hope comes from. (Jesus) I pray by the end of this episode God lifts you out of hopelessness and renews you to a lively hope.
