Getting Over What You've Gone Through

Life can be difficult. You’ve gone through things that when others faced it, they gave up. But you, by the grace of God and a made up mind, survived.
Surviving hard times is an incredible accomplishment. Surviving is a reason to rejoice.
When it comes to our healing, we may not understand that it comes in stages. And while you may not be completely over what you’ve been through, you’ve survived. And that's a reason to celebrate.
Now that you’ve made it through it, God wants to get you over it. Everything we go through shapes us, but it doesn’t have to define the rest of our lives.
When Israel was freed from Egyptian bondage, they passed through the Red Sea. And, when it was time for them to possess the land God promised them, the Bible says they passed over the Jordan river.
First they made it through, then they made it over. God has the same desire for each of us. Not only will He help us make it through our most difficult days, He will also help us get over it. In other words, we can get to the point the hurt no longer defines us.
Join me in this episode as we celebrate and then begin the next stage of the healing process.
