In todays episode, we will learn how to listen for the voice of the Lord.
This simply means all the many ways God deals with each of us. From an audible voice to a gentle tug at our heart, God speaks in innumerable ways.
The first time God spoke was recorded in the book of Genesis. He spoke to His heavenly creation. He spoke to His Earthly creation. But it didn’t end there, according to Genesis chapter 2:16, God also spoke to His human creation.
There are over 2,000 occurrences of God speaking to man or through man in the Bible.
But does God still speak to us today? The writer of Hebrews 1:1-2 confirms that God spoke in the past and God is still speaking, “in these last days”.
Hebrews 3:15 also tells us that "today... if ye will hear his voice". The question is not whether God still speaks today. He certainly does. The bigger question is, when He speaks, will we hear Him.
Just like young Samuel, we have to learn how to perceive when God is speaking to us.
In this episode we’ll discuss practical, yet effective, ways to recognize when the Lord is speaking to you. This will give you invaluable insight into all God has created you to be.
