The psalmist Asaph declared, in Psalms 77:11, “I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.”
In Psalms 103:2, David said, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”
Through these psalmists, we are reminded to never forget the wonders of the Lord. Thinking back over the times God has made a way for us encourages us during difficult times! When we think of the goodness of Jesus and all He’s done for us, it stirs up our faith.
When Jeremiah saw the destruction of Jerusalem, he wept, but when he remember the mercies of the Lord, his hope was restored!
