Change, both good and bad, brings a certain amount of uncertainty with it. We all desire as much certainty as possible. Since we all desire safety, security and predictability, we all experience, to varying degrees, fear of the unknown.
Fear of the unknown is essentially the fear of anything beyond our comfort zone. This fear is often caused by the feeling of not being in control. Many may even experience the fear of failure. Fear of the unknown also highlights our insecurities.
While this type of fear is normal, it can become problematic when it consistently disrupts your life by holding you back from new opportunities, relationships, healing or begins to cause you other emotional, physical or spiritual struggles.
