Everywhere you look today there are people whose lives are falling apart. Thousands of families in despair. Relationships crumbling. The whole world seems to be in disarray.
The question has to be asked, why are so many lives being ruined?
Why is every nation on earth facing such tragic and dire circumstances?
Why does it seem like the world is coming apart at the seams?
It’s not politics, political leaders or social economics. The reason tragedy is prevalent in our world is many people are not building their lives on sure foundations.
In Mathew chapter 7, Jesus taught a parable of two houses. One house survived a storm, the other did not. The difference wasn’t the material the houses were built with. The difference was the foundation the houses were built on.
The importance of building our lives, hopes, dreams and families on a godly foundation cannot be overemphasized.
We all face difficult situations. Thankfully, Isaiah 28:16 tells us we have a sure, unshakeable, tried and proven foundation we can build our lives on.
