Vax Matters is excited to introduce new co-host Clay Young. Boasting a career of over 25 years in local broadcast television and radio, Clay has worked for six broadcasting companies through the years in the Baton Rouge market and beyond. His radio and television interviews have included national guests such as former Pres. Bill Clinton, Col. Oliver North, and Dick Morris, while he also conducted weekly interviews with soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is thrilled to be behind the microphone again on Vax Matters to help listeners learn about the world of vaccines.

Deon Guillory joins Vax Matters as a guest co-host on our immunization journey. He worked most recently as a reporter for a TV station in Baton Rouge. Louisiana-born and raised, Deon grew up in Opelousas and went to school in New Orleans. Since entering the field, he has worked at stations all over the country as a producer, reporter and news anchor. As a long-time reporter and fact-finder, Deon can’t wait to dive into the world of immunization and track down the facts. 

Diane Deaton joins Vax Matters as host on our journey through immunization. She spent years broadcasting weather forecasts for WAFB Channel 9 News in Baton Rouge, La., before retiring in 2021. Outside of her work in news, she maintains an active presence in the community, where she has helped build several Habitat for Humanity houses and serves on their Board of Directors. She is beyond excited to walk through the world of vaccines and uncover the facts.
