John Gibson is a stand-up comedian and comedy writer from South Shields.

From the first moment that John stepped onto a stage he never wanted to leave it - but he had to leave it because living on a stage simply wasn’t practical.

As a natural joke writer, John was being paid to write and perform comedy within a year of his first appearance. John is now a regular on the stand-up comedy circuit.

Previously, John was a writer on BBC Radio Newcastle’s comedy sketch show ‘It’s Grin Up North’ and a finalist in both the 2020 Clement and La Frenais Comedy Award sketch writing competition and the 2020 Alphabetti Theatre sketch writing competition.

Si Beckwith

Si Beckwith is a stand-up comedian and writer from Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Si started stand-up comedy after years of writing creatively, critically while also playing in bands, though with a love for stand-up comedy being the one creative venture he was desperate to start. Call centre jobs slowly chipping away at his soul, he endeavoured to 'give it a go', and got up on stage at Long Live Comedy upstairs at The Dog & Parrott in Newcastle’s city centre (the same stage so many excellent North East acts had started on) in 2012 for his first gig.

Si has packed plenty in to a relatively short career, he’s gigged regularly and prolifically since those opening days, up and down the country. Si has made sure to hone his craft on all manner of stages, developing into a respected, reliable stand-up comedian who has a creative approach to all he does.
