Kory Lawson Ching is an Assistant Professor in the University Writing Program at the University of California, Davis, where he also works as the Associate Director for Online Writing Instruction. 

 His scholarly interests include teacher preparation, digital literacies, and composition pedagogy, especially the practice of using peer response groups in the writing classroom. His work has appeared in journals such as Written Communication, Research in the Teaching of English, Composition Studies, Computers and Composition, Rhetoric Review, and JAC, as well as the website Inside Higher Ed. 

Theresa Walsh is a Continuing Lecturer in the University Writing Program at University of California, Davis and a PhD candidate in Texas Tech University’s Technical Communication and Rhetoric program. Theresa served as the Assistant Director for Online Writing Instruction for the UWP from 2019-2022. 

Her research interests include rhetorics of health and medicine, pre-medical and pre-healthcare pedagogy, health equity training, empathy in healthcare training, sensory rhetorics, and embodied performance in addition to usability, online & hybrid writing instruction, and instructional design.
