In this episode of the Port City Plate Podcast, we recap 2023. We gained some incredible new spots throughout the year but we also lost some favorites as well. This special episode celebrates the very best of Mobile's dining scene throughout the year and concludes with a VERY special interview as we highlight the best family friendly restaurants in Mobile!
I discuss six new places in 2023 that I am excited about but also sadly recap the loss of places like Osman's, FIVE, SOCU, and El Papi. I will tell you the most exciting thing that I think happened to Mobile's food scene this year with Guy Fieri featuring SIX local restaurants on Diners, Drive-In, and Dives. I also share a lot of my personal highlights of this year and some of the episodes of the podcast that stuck out to me throughout the year.
Don't miss the end of the show where my Meat and Three segment features two of my kids! We talk about family friendly restaurants, desserts, and more! This episode is a fitting farewell to 2023 and a look forward to the new year!
