Ruthenna Porterfield is the author of Liberated From The Hill, a memoir about growing up in the oldest Black neighborhood in South Carolina. She wrote human interest stories for newspapers in the Carolinas and continues to write on her personal blog. Ruthenna is also a high school ministry teacher in Inglewood, California. She has traveled the country speaking at youth conferences and church events. Currently, Ruthenna is working on her next book as well as her acting career. Follow her on Instagram.
