Sometimes we need encouragement and we can look to promises of God to get this. We can look at what God has done for us and know that He is unchanging and will come through for us.

Since the beginning, we have had sin. There were sacrifices in the Old Testament and shedding of blood. Jesus came and shed His blood so that we can repent and be forgiven. We can draw closer to Him if we do this.

Throughout the Old and New Testaments, the first and most important law or rule is about our relationship with God. Are we putting God first? Let's get the distractions out of the way and get closer to Him.

Remember that the only reason we can stand unashamed is not because we're worthy but because of His mercy. We are saved by God's grace alone. There is nothing we can do to merit such favor.
