ChewintheCud Season 2: Episode 09 - Urease Inhibitors & Protected Urea
Mar 15, 2024 Season 2 Episode 9
Andrew

Your hosts Andrew Jones & Neil Greggor, based in the South West of England, are this time joined (again) by Andrew Clune, Business Development Manager, Nitrogen Solutions from BASF.

A quick rerun over Andrew's background before we talk about today's subject Urease Inhibitors & Protected Urea.

We discuss the incoming requirements for all farmers to use a protected urea from 1st April every year, as this links back to the government's clean air strategy, and why we need to follow this industry lead initiative rather than have regulations enforced on us by the government.

We then discuss not just the environmental benefits but the financial and agronomic benefits of using these products and why really they provide a win win solution.

This was recorded in January 2024 and all information was correct at the time of recording.
